Geez, it's getting deep now. How can you even compare East Bay Raceway to CCMP? How many people do you know that can even name one town in Charlotte County, other than Punta Gorda or Port Charlotte????

As someone who has lived in SW Florida for the past 25+ years, and who raced at 5 different stock car tracks in 2008 (CCMP being only one of them), I can say that Bobby does MORE promoting, out in the community, by far, than anywhere else I know of. I am constantly hearing about Bobby, and his promotion team (race teams who bring their race vehicles out) at the local businesses in my area.

How many community promotions have you done Mike, in the last 60 days? How many times, in the past 60 days, have you taken a group of race cars out into your local community, to promote your track???

It's an honest question. What is the number?

You people are bashing Bobby because you THINK that this is the only promoting he does (typing on an Internet Board). I would suggest the reality is completely the opposite. If everyone did the hands-on, on-site promotion that Bobby is doing, every week, we'd have a lot more fans in the stands at some of these tracks (including a few of the ones who think they doing OK now).

Back off. For your info Bobby and I are friends. Furthermore I'm the last guy that would come on here and bash him. Bobby and I have shared ideas over the years. I think Bobby does a fine job promoting his track and he knows that. Angie and I both have heavy community involvment in Ocala regarding the race track. I just don't post about it on Karnac. If Bobby wants to that's his choice, good for him.

        whoa.....

sometimes words get mixed up on here. Mike is one of the finest race track owners around and he has always been supportive. He does NOT bash...i wish more track owners would support RRUSA (Karnac) like he and Bobby do!... if they dont think Jack or the rest of us can help racing then they just dont have a clue what goes on in the background of racing. they dont know about the countless people involved... writers, radio personalities, promoters, photographers, coordinaters etc etc etc... there are alot of people who are out there telling people about the tracks, drivers, etc. you just never hear about it because we are far too busy to spend alot of time patting our own backs. we ARE patting yours!
Jack myself and others are in contact 7 days a week and we have alot of awesome plans for the future... so lets just stop the pickin and be greatful there are people who REALLY care!!! who give a heck of alot more than they will ever get!
Mike has courage. he doesnt let negative people stop him from his goals. he does what he believes in but he is also never too busy to take advice. he and Angie are the racers friends. just like bobby!
        im done... for now...;-)
        I LUV RACIN!!!!

            Thats less than half

Hey you guys should be proud that is less then 50% of the post.

I was going to not comment on it, but I have to Say that Yes Bobby may over post on here a Littel rather then just update other post, and maybe that is something he will work on now that is has been brought to his attention. Just may take a few days for him to remember to update his post rather than start a new one.

But Bobby is one of the most dedicated Race track owners and promoters I have ever meet and he means well and just want's the best for racing for the State of Florida. READ my post I said one of the most I also will Say that there are some of the other Owners in the state that care just as much as Bobby and yes other ways may work for them.

I have personaly helped in many of these outside promotions in the towns surrounding CCMP and Bobby is allways working hard to help promote the track, and the Community Loves it and I know it has helped bring new fans to the track. I have been at countless PROMO events just miles from the track, where people would tell me that they did not even know the track was there. Bobby and his teams spends countless hours promoting the track and this board is just another tool he has used to help get the word out. Not the only one.

Also at any of these events I have talked to race fans about this board and realracingusa, to get the info out about the radio shows and to help build our massive karnacian army. That being said I have the passion to want to see racing survive in the State and will help any track the is try to help them selves. This promo idea could help the whole sport in florida, and if I can be of aby help to any of you or any track with either ideas or any way I can post on here for me at any time and I will see what I can do to help make it a success working together is what is going to keep our sport alive in these times.

So Give Bobby a chance and see if he can tone down his post and still get his message out. If he was not posting there would be other saying well he was not trying and by the number of post it is for sure he is trying LOL

              Can't believe

all this fuss over this. Lets see how many tracks are running in FL at this time, 8, am I close. Which means that maybe we are talking about 10,000 (I think I am being kind with this number) people at the most that are in the pits or grandstands every week. The sad part is I am including classes that are not stock cars, but karts, etc. Besides I have thought for a long time that there sure be a page for each track and Carol.

                Number of tracks

I see from looking at the track section and from another thread that my count on tracks are off. However, I still go with my 10,000 weekly number which is nothing to smile about or think that short track racing in Florida is doing well.
