I wish I could do one of those poll thingies. I would have to say that in my opinion that it gets to be a little much but on the other hand he is making a good honest effort to promote his track. How many other promoters do you see come on this board?

I got to agree with Boney and Tripper on this one. I didn't even know there was an A.S.A. race this weekend because I've gotten to the point that I don't read them anymore. WAY to many!!!...Sometimes less IS better.

Back when Ocala Speedway was preparing for the Winternationals, I sent out bunches of press releases. I did it because newsworthy things kept happening, but in the process I think I overdid it. Websites stopped posting the articles, and most people began to ignore them. I learned something from that and stopped pumping out two and three news releases a week, and I think that I made the correct choice.

The overload was evident on message boards as well and I noticed that the more postings I did, the less people took the time to read them, so now I limit message board postings to results only. Anyone who wants to read the articles can find them at various locations, like Karnac's front page and the Ocala Speedway website. The last thing that I want to do is to cause people to become irritated at Ocala Speedway stuff all over the place. That has a negative effect, and it can only hurt the speedway.

Of course this is just my opinion and others may not agree.

Boney has a point, but the easiest solution is to just ... stop reading the CCMP posts if it bothers you? oops.

I have noticed that no one complained when Aurbandale was having the figure 8 race their back in Feb, and there where post every other day it seemed about it.

I admire Bobby making an effort. I would like to see him get more cars and one way would be to let the cost of the car to race also pay for the driver. That way only the crew has to pay the $30 more to get in, I believe it would draw more racers.

I do think there are times, especially with the world wind tour and all that to sum it up in one big post. But, the annoncing of races coming up and who is expected to show up (even though I wish they where only posted when they reserved a pit slab) I find help to influence my trip over to the west coast.

Is it to much???

In todays World I believe you must do everything possible to survive. We at CCMP pay more out than any other track in Florida to the racers in hopes of off setting their cost. For those who support the way were are going about it THANKS!!!! To those who dislike the efforts many of us do to try to survive. Just spell the name right!!!! If you know of other sites that make an impact in our sport let me know. Or in fact come down and advise us on other ways to promto. Remember it is not what you say that people remember it is how you say it. GET READY the CCMP Flying Circus is on the move!!!! See your thinking something right now. Good or bad your thinking about it. And thats promoting!!!! Sorry if I taking up your time. At least thanks for supporting the industry and sport that we all love "Short Track Racing". We are hoping to just survive.

I wished I had the amount of people that Tampa, St. Pete, Lakeland, Brandenton and all the other smaller communitys that are with in 45 minutes drive time. So you do what you can to survive. There are times that I read right over CCMP posts and onto something else, BM isnt being malicious, just something he noticed that could be more effective. On the other hand, I wouldn't even know CCMP existed w/o this board.

If posting on a message board for free is your idea of promoting , then knock yourself out . But it appears that around half of the responders here don't think much of your advertising scheme . You might want to re-read the post from Mike Peters though . He is correct on all counts .

About Bobby... PLEASE READ....

Bobby isnt just posting on message boards. he has been to several promotional efforts at night. works in school all day, drives from bradenton to Charlotte, and whatever place they choose to have a racing display. he goes from business to business and promotes our track. no one works harder. he NEVER sits idle and tho sometimes he seems bizarre, he is always thinking of new and exciting ideas to bring the fans. he could send someone else out, and he does, but he goes to most of these functions.
i think he should coordinate some of his posts and slow down a little BUTTTTTTTTTT i am not going to criticize the man who does more for racing than most. bobby is a very kind man and is never too busy to help those in need.... does he make mistakes? heck yeh... but dont we all?
if any of you come to CCMP and have not met bobby, come to me and i will make sure you get to meet him! (coming from the concession i sit to the right of the flag stand in the front row.).. then you will understand him better.
my"head is not stuck up his butt"... i am supporting a long time friend who is working hard to give US a decent fun race track. call it what you want but i call it support...
i work with Bobby and Jack because both of them GET THINGS DONE... i dont have time for BS talkers who dont back up what they say. it doesnt matter whether you like them or not... if you want to see racing survive, it is surviving because of people like Bobby, Mike, Todd, Jack and others who devote that little extra! so be patient and look at both sides of the issues. thanks... i am glad you guys were at least polite and constructive with your criticism. its so hard to stay focused when people keep beating you up... lol
