I am going to start with the Good - good quality of cars for the most part if not in total quantity, and from my personal perspective, it is Great to see David Rogers getting his swerve back. Set fast time and seemed to be coming on at the end. Good run.
Bad - Where the he!! did the dune buggies go? You have no idea how frustrating it was a fan to watch TWO guys spreading speedy dry by hand and push broom through the whole first/second corner - then realize they missed a spot and have to do it again after 15 minutes the first time!! Then repeat that scene everytime there was liquid down. It was freezing out last night and the operations at the track seemed to be completely out of touch. What was with the 5-10 minute delay after Choquette left the track before we started the mod feature (just one example)? I will not hold the generator incident and subsequent delay against the track as that was unforseen, and Mr Hart stepped up and did something about it. There were SIX races to run last night and even at that, the next race was still not lined up when the previous one was over. VSP is putting you guys to shame - I saw nearly 20 races at VSP and left by 11:30. I actually felt for Mark in the tower as he had to fill some time last night.
Ugly - CRASH a Rama!! It was exciting, but I have never seen as much carnage as last night. This was NOT NSS fault, and certainly led to the delays, but I still hold the cleanup/organization of the show against them. I will be amazed if they have nearly the car count tonight. The NE Mods were brutal, most of their incidents seems to be the kind where you put it on the trailer and head home. The poor guy that hit head on in turn 1 (Kay?) was one of the hardest hits I have seen there in 30 years. Didnt think he was getting out of that one.
Overall, NSS needs to get it together, I have changed my plans for tonight and I am spending my money at Disney today with the family. I wont be back unless they get the dune buggy crew back in action - or enlist more help.
