And on results of a different note

My old home track Columbus Motor Speedway in Ohio ran their last ever stock car racing program of their 71st and final season this past Saturday night. And the winner was.... Mother Nature. Rained out not to be rescheduled ever.(There will be a season ending event held on September 24th featuring the compact division as well as compact enduro race along with trailer races, skid plate races etc.)

Is it they want clicks on their websites or FB pages? I am not going to 8-10 websites to hope to find results and I am not on FB. We can't be at every track every week. Just one more nail in the coffin of short track racing unfortunately.

Always thought marketing 101 was to get your product or brand in front of as many people as possible by any means possible.
Well, I know of one local track that has posted results within an hour of races completed, only to be bashed about things that did not have anything to do with the races. So they quit posting here, but now put it on Facebook.
I believe your question has been answered now.

You're sounding like someone's crotchety old Grandfather " too durn many of those interactive thingies for me ". It's the way of the world guys, Facebook, Twitter, etc. are now the way to communicate information. In fact, Facebook use is fading fast among young people. Web sites are old school. And like it or not, the younger generation is only going to use more of this type of media as time goes on.
Actually the Citrus County site is one of the best out there, far superior to most. But they don't update it as much as they probably should. But again, web sites aren't where you find updates anymore. Text messages and Twitter are the new norm.
The Speed51 site isn't bad. I've always found it to be a little confusing when i'm looking for something specific.

Pretty much nailed it...Other than to shop for an online purchase, websites, much like home computers, newspapers, and magazines are becoming a thing of the past. These days, eveyone is scrolling their twitter and Facebook news feed, alot quicker and more convenient than trying to search out and navigate some website.

                  Like, Positive Vibes, Man...

                  Let's remember:

                  >The racing world is shrinking.

                  >Hell, cars are now about to drive themselves, and the public cannot wait.

                  >We are Blessed to have any racing.

                  >At some point, short track racing will be "pay to play", like sports car racing, if it exists at all.

                  >"Racing" has always involved a high level of difficulty, and poor returns. That is part of the draw.

                  >Clearly, the tracks can, and will, do whatever they want.

SO, "demanding" anything is kind of worthless.

SUGGESTING things in a positive manner is about as good as it is going to get, with no real expectations.

And being thankful for whatever we get is a good way to keep one's blood pressure level down.

We have five tracks, 3 short, one medium, and one longer. Lots of good choices.

Me? I have my favorites, but I like them all, and can find the info through one means or another.

Dick Anderson is on the mend, life is good.

For anyone on this board that doesn't happen to be Facebook savvy, or just refuses to sign up with them, you don't have to. To get on any racing related Facebook site, just type the site you're looking for into the search. In the list of choices that come up, you'll find their Facebook site. Just choose that one and it takes you to their Facebook page. You don't have to sign in, you don't have to be a Facebook member.
What will happen, is that as you try to scroll down, Facebook will try to block your view of the page because you're not a member, or haven't signed in. Simply click on the Not Now and continue reading.
