It depends if you're talking about the spirit of the law or the letter of the law. The letter of the law, he didn't break any rules (You know like Dale Sr, "I just meant to rattle his cage"). Buy the spirit of the law IMO he sure did...ya don't wreck someone to win...or in this case to make the chase.

But certainly also one can "spin out", theoretically without penalty.

I never heard Boyer admit to doing it on purpose...

Boyer had no need to own up. It was a corporate decision from which he got no direct benefit. I hope the safety of our competitors is not so meaningless as to cause mayhem to simply get to the next round. If that was his intent to cause the mayhem we saw then our sport is in deep shit. Babyfaces deal with Kenseth is no less despicable so lets don't separate the two. Last lap at Homestead going for the Championship then all bets are off.

When Carl dumped Jr, It was on! Ray Charles could see it coming. Nascar didn't say anything, the Press didn't say anything, and Jr didn't say anything. Carl is just lucky that it was Jr, not Sr!

            Err..what?

Cousin Carl dumped Jr at Talladega?

When was that? Jr was so busy dumping Jr that I must have missed it.
