He IS Bob Pierce's son. A friend of mine had a Pierce mod a few years back and won a BUNCH of races up this way.

As much as I hate to see someone fail, I can't stand that horse faced crybaby so I was glad to see him have a lack luster performance. Maybe he'll put someone in the truck next year who has an idea of what they're doing.Comment

Well, Tyler Reddick was in the team truck, and he ended up third. Then again, Reddick has a few Late Model dirt wins at Eldora; I just think it was Brad's lack of experience on the dirt. Whatever they did this year with the surface compared to the last two, they need to do a million times over. I heard Tony say that this was a different clay than previous years but is that all they changed? The first two years were nothing compared to this year. This race may have been a double edged sword for NASCAR though because it was the most incredible show any of their series has seen in a long, long time and aero, downforce and horsepower meant nothing. It was real racing for once. Maybe, just maybe, NASCAR will see the light here that those 3 things do not equal good racing. Allowing the drivers to be able to drive, does.Comment

Brad K. said in a interview that this was his 1st time on dirt. With that in mind.
How did you do on your 1st time on dirt?
He is not like the cookies from the NASCAR cookie cutter.
His racing family is old school and his dad raced on a shoestring budget so Brad did not come up the ranks because of family money, which everyone claims on here is what has ruin NASCAR or just plain racing.
The Captain thinks is good enough to race for him.Comment

I have to agree with Phil Jaques on the track conditions. When I watched the time trials I thought the track might become extremely dry slick. Instead it provided multiple grooves and excellent racing. While not a BK fan I thought he did as well as could be expected. Not only does he lack dirt seat time it had to be extremely hard for him to communicate with his crew about handling etc. Compared to regular NASCAR they can't be compared as one is racing while the other is simply driving. Schraders heat race was worth the price of admission. Kudos to Tony for the facility and NASCAR for letting it happen. Now if they will put clay on Bristol like they did for the outlaws they could fill that place up again. To make it more cost effective run all three series in one weekend.Comment

Hell, all FIVE heat races were worth the price. I didn't care for the way they handled the "last-chance" race and the last five starters, though...they only took the top two from the consi, and the other five starters from "owners' points" - of which I don't think any of those trucks have had any other starts this year (maybe JJC did, but I can't/haven't watched the Trucks on TV this year).Originally posted by egspeedway View Post
As far as the multiple groove racing for the feature: Tony went out on the track in "The Beast" and worked the track in, between the Late Model feature and the Truck feature. They watered it, went out and packed it, and Tony ran this thing around on the bottom and middle grooves. This thing is HUGE:
