You are never going to host an event again if you cancel tomorrow's event because it is raining today. That is ridiculous. This is Florida. It rains almost every day this time of year. Why don't you just lock up the front gate and forget it.

car counts are low at most tracks.
If one or two close and the cars go to another track and have fun and do well...they have good racing and the fans come...is that so bad?

Maybe if the place closes and new owners come in, they will try Friday night racing. It's an option that hasn't been tried down there, they can potentially pull cars from 3 tracks, then some of the diehard racers can go to Desoto,Showtime or Auberndale on Saturday night. It's a win win in my opinion!

It's 19 days till the Air Port meeting. I talked a man from Indy who knows who bought the Daytona back grand stands and he's calling me. I will surely let everyone know if there on the way or NOT heading south...!!!!

Tell your guy my guy said your guy that knows some guy did not buy them all - The Speedway donated 500 seats to Port Orange Pop Warner Football Association and another 2,000 seats to the Volusia County School Board.

Two weeks left????

Two weeks left before the Air Meeting about the lease on Three Palms. The last meeting was left that they will decide if the lease has been broken. Question that were brought up were:
1. Bond was waved for exchange of the new fences, electric, and grand stands (three years ago).
2. Scoring Tower's passing inspection.
3. People living full time on the property.
4.Taxes owed to the Charlotte County $36,000.00 plus (not included are the prior leasers debts)
5. Law suites on Fencing Company.
Any one of these items can end the lease. If you have any interest or would like race there you may like to make plans to be there.
We all need the track to keep our sport alive.

Seems like Bobby is pretending to be intimately involved in negotiations. That track just can't survive another Bout With Bobby. I agree the current lease holders are simply wasting time.
But for the sake of that track, someone who knows what they're doing, and has some money is required. So everyone cross your fingers, and repeat over and over " no Bobby, no Bobby, no Bobby "

There are three others that a wanting to take it over and rebuild it so all of us can get back to racing. So grow up and get over yourself.
