I was a little disappointed only 11 cars showed and one broke in practice, guys I sit with said they tore up a bunch at Montgomery last week. But it was a pretty good race. Billy Melvin from North Alabama who always runs good jumped out front followed closely by local Ryan Paul. It went green for about 40 laps and they worked through lapped traffic with Paul doggin the snot out of him. But Donnie Hamrac a huge local crowd favorite who's always smooth, always clean slowly and methodically closed down on them to within about 8-10 car lengths, after a poor qualifying run, and was about to strike when the two got together and Hamrac barely squeeked by. On the restart he pretty easily held off Jeff Letson and Moultrie's Bryan Redmon.

Thanks for the report, Lurkin. Sounds like it was a good race, indeed. Pensacola is mad fast. Less banking than NSS but because it's "rounder" it's faster. Can't wait to make the long trek back there!
