DQing a car for safety violations after the fact is is pure chicken &$#;
The track got the benefit of the car being on the track and in the show.
Safety violations should stop a car from being on the track,PERIOD. But if they allowed them to run,then they should pay them and not allow them on the track again until corrected.
Post race tech is for fairness in equipment.

I got dqed for the wrong shock mount on a Camaro. didn't have a left shock mount so I used 2 right mounts and turned one aroung backwards.
after a hour that is all they could find.
It was at Desoto in the old days. Took it like a man and went back next week and won agin.
They didn't even look at the car that week. After that the teq man and I became great friends. Miss ya Willy..
