So in other words, you're wrong and don't know. The first track to have safer barriers was Indy. IndyCar bankrolled most of the development so that just makes sense. But NASCAR also raced at Indy that year, so as a series they got them as early as indycar did.

Something tells me you're actually a 13 year old kid in your parent's house trolling this place, as little as your obviously know.

Still drunk from last night, or just getting an early start today? Let's recap the conversation so far, shall we.
I say the IRL was the first to use the safer barrier.
      You say i'm wrong.
You say in fact it was the IRL that first used the safer barrier.
      I'll agree.

You said "commonly used by other racing series for years". I call bullships on that other years part. Both series raced at Indy the first year it was installed, thus even the dumbest of the dumb can figure out that both series started using the barrier in the same season.

I'm really interested to hear about your real world experience with race cars of any kind. You know all about all things, so you must be drawing from a hundred years of experience in every sort of car out there.
