It can't hurt to hope.Originally posted by racin24dev View PostYou're probably one of those people that still doesn't believe that the world is round...
I agree with the troll comment. Props to you though, you're a persistent little troll guy.
And I'd hope to only hear a negative comment about the car count if you actually attend the race. Please don't bother with criticism if you don't even show up.

Everybody works 40 hours a week. It's nice you have sponsors. Not every owm racer can say that. And it's those guys who shouldn't be forced to spend hundreds of dollars on stuff they can't afford and don't need.Originally posted by racin24dev View PostWealthy has nothing to do with it. Sponsors do though. I'm far from wealthy.
If I recall, the last two big money shows that Yoho has put up, there have been at least 38 cars at both trying to make the show....Please tell me this is considered a full field in your eyes.
This seems to be an issue that you have, and quite frankly you and very few others. Racers that have the passion to run good and chase wins will find ways to make it happen. I couldn't do anything I do without sponsorship. I also work 40 hours a week, and I, myself, pay my fuel bill. It doesn't take 50 cars to have a good race, you're hurting racing just as much as Yoho is by complaining on the internet, and then not showing up on Saturday's....but wait, I'm sure you do...somewhere..
We would obviously all love to see the cost of racing go down, but we've all accepted reality.
You might also want to take a long look at the thread Bobby Diehl has concerning parked race cars. You think putting on an impound ( bend over ) race would convince them to come back out to the track? Or do you think that having to purchase 4 tires they don't need might just be the reason for them to keep the cars in the garages.
Try thinking beyond your own little world and see that the future of racing in Florida might be more important than track owners making easy money off of the racers.
Meanwhile, good luck to you in the race. I should say races as it looks like you're in a couple of classes.

" 'I don't come on here and bash the place [Auburndale].' Yet you just did. Bashed the owner of Auburndale too." M'Ahlbe
Oh yeah, well, your mom did it for a pit entrance fee.
Dude, debate is cool, my sentence above not so cool.

Showtime and Desoto are give us a good payout not just the top 2 cars like NSS and Pensacola. This is on their weekly race programs. Last week the 11th place car received 175.00 at Showtime on a 30 lap race.
When it comes to these special programs I do not have any problem with 4 tire impound purchase. Less messing with the tires and everyone know were the tire have been. Devin is spot on in his assessment of these two tracks.
These big money races allow us to improve our cars and looks, the Modifieds that show up on the Westcoast are great looking and give the crowd a very competitive races with a lot of green flag racing. Our sponsor came out and was very impressed with the quality of the race cars and the competitiveness of the races. This only makes it easier to get product and help from them.
I personally want to thank these owners for their effort and support of the Modifieds

I wouldnt call that bashing. I just stated a fact and left it at that. I didnt say WHY I hated the place or WHAT I think of Rex. I made a vague generalization to prove a point.Originally posted by Matt Albee View Post"i don't come on here and bash the place ( Auburndale )". Yet you just did. Bashed the owner of Auburndale too.
Youre not going to get anyone on here to side with you about this so give it a rest. Or go play in the complainers corner where all the post happy whiney bitches like yourself belong.
Again, youre more than welcome to come to Showtime on the 11th on my dime, and you can walk around and ask the drivers how they feel. That way youll have a first hand direct from the drivers perspective on how they feel about your input. The harsh reality is, youre going to get told exactly what ive been saying for weeks that you cant seem to wrap your head around.
Just out of curiosity, where did you grow up watching racing that 26 cars on the track at once wasnt a full field?

HeyDevon
Cool little video on the front page. It was good to watch a little racing. I'm in the Netherlands working so no racing for a little while. Tell Grimm and everyone I said hello. I don't think I fly in till the 13th so good luck to all on the 1oo lapper.
I skipped all the other crap on this thread but Showtime has been paying the best purse and started us all getting paid better. Desoto followed suit when the re opened.Doug Miller # 53

For the record, they don't. Yoho just randomly picked J&L tire out of the phone book. From all of the Hoosier dealers in Florida, he thought they could use the business. Same for the gas. He's just trying to spread the wealth around.Originally posted by JC26 View PostAnd for the record, since youre so well versed on the topic, just how do the track owners make money off tire and fuel sales?
