Look, I don't have a dog in this fight but I'll say this... I just turned 37 years old and I've been involved in racing (mostly at Citrus) all my life. I have never heard of pulling heads off the winning car in a 4 car race. If the track really suspects someone of having a big engine there are other ways to check it. I understand rules are rules but jeez, really? It would probably cost more to put the engine back together than winning the race paid. Given Gary and Dora's "history" of disagreements it's easy to see what happened here.
I get asked (and told) all the time "why don't you just suck it up and go race there". Simple, I'm not putting myself in that type of situation.
If a restaurant continues to serve bad food and has crappy service the last thing I'm going to do is keep going back there. At the same time I'm going to advise anyone I call a friend not to eat there as well. If I have a great time some where, I certainly share that too and encourage all my friends to go do the same. A race track is no different than any other business we spend our money at. We don't owe it to them to keep quiet when we feel we've been mistreated or taken advantage of.
Social media can very well be the demise of a race track or any business for that matter. However it can also be a great tool for that business when customers feel they are treated fairly and come away with a positive experience.
Ok, rant over. Carry on and have a great day.
