It seems as if this is one huge first mistake and I would sincerely hope that this is clarified and made right very soon... In the story that was published it was written that there were statements that were contrary to each other in this... (i.e. supporting regulars and the two drivers happen to be regular drivers...)

One little point that may sound very silly, but Racers do use this website and it might be beneficial if the Auburndale Track would use and support this website as it will help them in there tenure at the track...

    Have a great day all....

You call that a mistake? I call that total crap, and a slap in the face to all drivers. Here they spent a lot of extra money and gas trying to hurry to the track just to race. I miss the days where something like that was rewarded! They should be refunded all the money that the track took from them at the entrance, and given a personal apology by the owner in front of everyone at the next drivers meeting. That has to be one of the dumbest PR moves I have ever heard of from a track owner. They should have handled that totally opposite by announcing over the P.A. system that they both ran earlier at CCMP and decided to make the long haul to be there at Auberndale to race. That would excite the crowd and show the drivers who made an extra effort to be there respect...

I'm gonna be listening to the radio show to see if anything has been cleared up about this. I would hope the other family members that have invested in the track have stepped up! We will see.

What does the right or wrong gear in the cars have to do with anything?

I did NOT hear what I wanted to hear on the radio show. I hope that the drivers stick together and show their displeasure of this "NEW" rule. Maybe park in front of the track until something is done??
Do they say this about the people who camp at their camping ground? If you camp somewhere else you can't camp here?

                    Auburndale Speedway

What thay did to Aaron & Jason was wrong I know and race with both them , Rex was totally wrong in his judgement as he has been about alot of things. From talking to Aaron they did get there pit money back. Rex and team have had very poor judgement and attitude, I thing everyone knows I got blacked flagged for adgressive driving and spinning out Shawn Harper. Maybe I should of went to the back of the pack? After talking to Rex abount the black flag his statement I should park my car and not race, Smart answer from a track with a low car count and not letting other driver's race. I guess Rex has should think of the economy and what it takes driver's and teams to race at his track. I think I'll continue to race just not Auburndale Speedway for awhile.

My point was what does the gear the car has in it have to do with anything? That seemed to be the track's issue. Does Auburndale have a gear rule? Then the promoter doesnt have the stones to come on the radio and back his decision. This situation is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in years. No wonder the rest of the country laughs at us.

                        Auburndale Speedway better???? yea right!!!!

Maybe all the race fans and the drivers should all go on strike for one week at Auburndale Speedway to show the owners who the heck makes that racetrack what it really is....because without the fans and the drivers...WHERE WOULD REX AND HIS CO-OWNERS AND FAMILY BE THEN???? I thought when these people bought this track from J.T., it would be better...what happened to those promises?

This is the same promotor that lowerd the purse on the latemodel drivers a few weeks back when he did not get enough late models. Why short change the guys that did show up it is not thier fault that you could not promote and get more drivers there and this is not first time he has miss treated out of town drivers that came over to try out his track I Know personaly of two other times this season a simular situation has happend at this track so know its not the first time. - Good luck Rex maybe you and John can get together and write a book on Promoting.

The drivers will race there or another track. No driver is going to load his car to go park outside of a track on race night.

Besides, this type of thing has been going on since the beginning of auto racing and i can take you or anyone else to one of my local track where the owner, today, will tell any driver that if he finds out they race another track in the same season they will NOT be back to his.

And his car counts by today's standards are relatively large.

Someone had something to prove i think in this case.

Notice none of our oldsters (no offence) have chimed in yet.....they've all seen it i'm sure.

As an observer, it appears to me that someone made a bad call. That happens to some extent at every track, and in every business for that matter. A good manager will do what they need to correct it. Why not give Mr. Guy a chance to explain himself and possibly even set things right with the drivers involved?

The positive side is that eagletai is not coming back, yet claims to be buying 4 tires. Oh yeah, I believe that.
Hey Boneman... I'm currently serving my country in Iraq and will be home on leave in August.. My word is my bond. To make it interesting I would love for those 2 racers to start at the back and go for the win! I see your a Auburndale fan. You think that was a BAD Call? That was a personal dig at 2 racers that went Chasin Racin. As you stated we will see if the management correct the problem.... My guess NOT!!!!
I get tired of seeing track owners screw the very same people that PUT money in their pockets. I get tired of seeing guys like yourself stick up for selfish greedy people who use racing as a buisnessthat have no background in running a track. They should be greatful and sincere and put their attitudes and personalities second and put the racers first. Their EGOS are going to kill racing in Florida.... They need to look at PT Barnum Ben Dodge Carl Merrill Ed Yerrington Mr Earle others that would have turned that situation into a PR frenzy by getting the crowd into it by annoucing it on the loudspeakers....

You get a break from me because you are in Iraq. If you were in Florida we could go at it, but I will not add any stress to anyone serving our country overseas. Thanks for your service.

I hoped everyone would get the whole story, and perhaps a management response, before going off on the track. As it turns out, I listened to the "Inside Florida Racing" show tonight and feel that the track has made a mistake in this case, and is compounding it by their unorthodox approach to it.

Suggestion to Auburndale management: fall on your sword, admit it was an error in judgement (we all make them), pay the guys some gas money and/or last place, then put it behind you and get on with this weeks show. It will disappear quickly, but left unaddressed the bad feelings will grow and linger.
