Bentley Warren, driving the coach that was soon to become known as the "Cockroach". Bentley can STILL drive the wheels off of anything he gets in.

I quit fishing because there was no one handing out money at the docks when i got back. Why did you quit racing?

I recently unearthed a bunch of old stuff from my garage and have been reading some old articles in magazines from the '60s... One was written about the up and coming James Hylton... He is an interesting guy, a true "independent" who actually was in NASCAR long before becoming a driver as he was crew chief for Ned Jarrett both years that Ned won the GN title. James decided to try it himself in a hand-me-down Dodge from Cotton Owens which he ran everywhere from Daytona to 1/2 mile dirt tracks... He actually got a chance at Owens' factory-backed Dodge at one point but left after a couple of races because he didn't have enough of his own input into the operation... Basically, James would rather run HIS car than someone elses... If Chrysler had actually backed this guy at the time, he probably would have done very well for them... Interestingly enough, Hylton had a better time after switching to Fords which he used to score his only wins... James was pretty set in his ways which is probably why they never fully backed him...

While the sports car nut inside of me wants to go with the Sauber Mercedes #62 driven at LeMans in 1989 by Jean Luis Schlesser and Jean-Pierre Jabouille, I should probably kick it old school with Curtis “Crawfish” Crider.

If you look real hard, you'll find the #63 of Neil Kumernitsky here at Nazareth. Feel free to come up with a better #63 in terms of recognition and photo quality. Just wanted to give a shout out to old Neil.

I found a special one, #30 Richey Thorbin. He passed a couple of years after a race I think.WE used to have some long talks about racing. He had been in racing about the same length of time I had only up North.
                                Here's Darrin Ellis
