Man, TNT sucks... I don't know what is worse, listening to Kyle Petty or all these commercials...now they even have in-screen commercials between the 90 second commercials.

A short while ago, they returned from a 90 second commercial and went directly into another in-screen commercial.

Wake me up on the final 10 laps or so.....Wish the in-car camera was on when Tony 'barft' in the helmet. You can get black flagged when that stuff starts leaking onto the track.....YUCK !!
Poor JJ having to ride in that stuff............Have I grossed everone out yet?? How about it Carol aka OOZE??

HeHe, I thought this was some of the best TV coverage I've seen all year. Sure they had in screen commercials but you could still watch the race. There weren't all that many local commercials so you could see most of the race. And I didn't have to listen to Boogity Boogity or Rusty. I can put up with Kyle. Seriously, I thought TNT was much better than ESPN/ABC or Fox. JMO

Agree Winger - much better than the "switch away for 2 minutes" crap.

The longest we were away from the race was 90 seconds, and that was only 10 times. That's 15 minutes out of a 180 minute broadcast.

That's unheard of. I can mute the on screen commercials and still see the action.

My vote? Thumbs up for TNT.

Kyle is great compared to Rusty he is the worst. I didn't like all of the annoying break ins but at least you could still watch the race. I will take that over the real commercials any day.

On another note did you all notice all the empty seats? I haven't seen that many at Daytona since I have been watching Nascar.

the old trick.turn on MRN/PRN and turn down the tv volume.even though radio is getting as bad with the commercials

I liked the continuous coverage but there were still TOO MANY commercial break -ins and the announcers sucked. Derf was right, the guys from MRN/PRN are awsome to listen too.

BUT at least we didnt have to listen to that BOOGITY BS and Rusty Wallace saying "I'll tell you what" every 5 seconds.

Agreed, bunch of empty seats (mostly on the back stretch I think). I wonder how many were ticket holders and just couldn't afford the fuel for the trip?

I guess we will be seeing more of that as fuel prices continue going up. The tourist trade is really going to feel it now. Disney tickets should include 50 gals of fuel so people can come see Mickey.

I thought the race was pretty good. But, then again, Daytona usually is. Did Tony really get sick inside the car?....Glad I missed that one if it is true....Just really sucks that BIG EARS #2 won....again. I was rooting for Carl at the end of the race.
I don't care what you say, MRN can make the most boring race sound exciting.

Have to agree with Winger also! At least you could see most of the race. I will take Kyle Petty over Rusty any day of the week. Also I have always liked Wally Dallenbach. And thankfully we didn't have to hear too much of Larry MacReynolds the worst in all of motorsports!

I was never much of a Kyle Fan... But you either get Kyle or Rusty... Ahhhhh... Not too much of a selection either way...
