I didn't know this series was top secret. Talk has been going around the pits since the first FUPS truck race at Citrus in '13 about 10-11 months ago. I thought every FUPS team knew about it. I didn't think that the guys running it was top secret either. I was never told to keep it hush hush. If you look at their site it is pretty easy to see who it is. I guess some people can not see the forest because of all the trees. LOL

The rules are on their web site also and from what I was told, there is more to come. We will have to wait and see.

I searched their whole site and didnt see a name anywhere. All they have is an online registration and a toll free #. We are talking about the SPATS series not Rick B's series.

If I , oh excuse me how do I say that with out another I, hmmm oh well never mind. Keep hiding behind your keyboard giving you tips to success for all us all because, well we know you have been successful running a track, series or well at least you think you know all about it right ? Hmmm if we only knew who you were and what great track or series you have worked hard to run ….. well we may never know. Well, so in that case we probably should just let your hot air blow on by. I will give you credit you know how to make people want to just become your friend ..ha ha !
Sorry to hear about the health issues, good luck with it.
Everyone hides behind a keyboard on forums Rick, and don't be dumb enough to assume that because someone uses a screen name that they don't have the knowledge and/or experience needed to question methods or ideas.
As is often discussed on this site, promoting a track or a series doesn't require a degree, doesn't even require experience really. Either you're good at it or you aren't, and years of experience won't make you good at it if you're not.
I'm all for the trucks growing into a big series.

            Matt

I do appreciate your words toward the health deal. It is going to be challenging for a while, I do have faith that God will take care of it.

What I am saying is if you sit behind a key board and say things like that nothing I have done has been successful, and that I like to pump my own name up and you really don't meet me or know me then I find that an issue. Having constructive ideas and maybe meeting the people your talking about would be a good idea.

In fact I issue you this challenge ……be my guest at Citrus one night of the Joey Coulter Trucks Series coming there, April 12th is the first date. I will sign you and a guest in, please meet me, talk to me and then if you still think I am a me person and unsuccessful then so be it we can at least say we did out from behind a key board.

Let me know if your up for it, and if you have some suggestions and ideas to help bring them with you ! Let me know if it is a deal ! Thanks !

Thanks for the offer. I haven't been up that way for a while, but I might try to make it this season.
Just to be clear, I haven't said or even suggested that everything you've done has been unsuccessful. We all know about your charity work and that's obviously been a big help to families. Keep it up. The truck series though, not so much. Now that it's not in the hands of FUPS ( what a dumb name for a series ) anymore, maybe you can make something of it. Can't hurt to try.

The SPATS ( what a dumb name ) series is now aligning itself with Lee Faulk. At least Faulk is willing to put his name in public view. I sure haven't seen anyone else take responsibility for this series.

I don't know about aligning theirselves. I was told that the winner of the SPATS championship will get some sore of class with the Lee Faulk developmental deal. They are also giving away money for the championship. Does that mean that the US Mint has aligned theirselves with the series also? Hummmmm???

I was just womdering if anybody has called the number on the site to answer your questions if it is really so important to you to know who is running the series. Or who the tech guy is(a real likable guy). It is really no big secert. To me it is clear as day who is running it right when you look at the SPATS page and the Driver Seat trucks.

Mr South why don't you fill us in then. Since nobody else seems to have heard of this series besides you. Who are these mystery men that you have yet to actually name.

                      Adding to the mix

The rummer is that this is a Bobby Diel series with Tommy King as the tech. Not positive this is fact, but if it is, why don't they make a big announcement.

You can find the rules if you click on the SPAT icon.

You guys are getting warmer. You got one of them right!!! And the second one is a Bobby but not a Diel.

Ocala, have you called the number or dropped them an email to ask your questions? I dont believe that it is my place to make a public announcement just because I know who they are.

With that said. Speedweeks starts tomorrow!!! Bring those trucks out and support the class.

                        See ya there.

I love guessing games. Lets see....Bobby Allison? Bobby Labonte? Bobby Rahal? this is fun..... Bobby East? Bobby DeNiro, oh wait, that's Robert. Bobby Gill? No, that can't be. Give me a minute, i'll get it.
What a great marketing idea for a series, the racers and fans have to guess who's putting on the show.

Just kidding (the spelling is no big DEAL). I have had my phone ring off the hook. I have spoken to three of the main players and it's a real deal. The hardest thing to do when you have a series is to have the support of the Teams. From the calls that I have received there is a lot of Teams (that raced in the old FASTRUCK Series) are not happy with the last couple of years of the Truck Racing in Florida. There is always two or three sides to every story. The Staff that runs the Series will always be judged on their past and how they treated the Teams at the Races. Remember that the Tracks are the ones that will decide which Series can put Fans in the Stands. The Tracks haven't got a lot of FORWARD PROMOTIONS (spoke to the Major Sponsor of last years Truck Series and they got very little forward exposure for their ROI and cut their amount to the Series) to fill those empty seats at have been vacant since 2008. Don 62 was my mentor from 1997 till 2005 and one of the main reasons FASTRUCK Series still has 20+ Drivers that race in NASCAR top ranks.... Say what you will about BIG DON, but he knows the value of those empty seats. There will be more to come from the SPAT Truck Series. Remember that if the Teams (who is the back bone of any Series must believe in the reason the Series was developed) doesn't believe in the value (having a level playing field) they will go to where they feel they have a chance. Bottom line is the Tracks will support the Series that put's BUTT's in the SEAT'S!!!!!! "The most EXPENSIVE SEAT in the HOUSE is the EMPTY ONES (call the tracks and ask them)!!!!
If you want to talk about my thoughts, just pick up the phone at call....
Thanks for the prays I am starting to get stronger and PRAY POWER works....

If you had given me a little more time I would have gotten that. No, I wouldn't because I don't think I know that name. Who is Bobby Owens?
