A few years ago, the "cash for clunkers" cars could not be resold. However, since that stupid program is long gone, any junkyard will sell you whatever you want.

Currently, I have an Acura Integra enduro car. I've only driven it a bit, but it is quick enough to win in Strictly Stocks. The 6 cylinder Probes are fast, and so are most 4 and 6 cylinder cars like Hondas, Nissans, etc.. The last time I raced in strictly stocks, (Orlando, June 2012) I won in a dead stock 4 cylinder Mustang. That thing was no more than 95 Hp., but the little cars should out-handle the big ones! It makes for a fun race.

bottom line if I was out there I think I would want to be in the older metrix or big body monte because hen one of those modern cars gets turned sideways on the track and gets t-boned its not going to pretty.

there are these things called roll cages and they have something called door bars. you weld them in your car and getting hit is no longer a big problem.
lets all take a long ride on a short bus.

I quit fishing because no one was standing at the docks handing out money when i got back, why did you quit racing?

Bolt thick steel plate to floor pan and weld to that. Don't be a wimp you know the risk when you climb into the car. It will never be 100% safe.

Running off the cars that already race in that class isn't going to be a problem for anybody. Most of the existing cars can easily qualify to race in the antique and classic car series, so they'll have a place to race.
These classes are the perfect place to bring in later model cars including imports.

Well..maybe not as cheap as a 79 Monte Carlo. A Toyota Echo stock car, now there's food for thought. Your Malibu, why not??? You skeered???

I understand they're planning to add imports and later model domestic cars. Anything to spice up the show and get new fans in the stands.

                          It can be done.

1998 accord 4cyl auto. Was a roll over paid $500.00
Roll cage and safety gear $850.00
                          LET GO RACING...
                          This isn't hard.
I'll take it to NSS in a heartbeat.
And I have 2 more of them as well.
We have to change at some point..

yea well I am not a big fan on supporting anything not made in this country . grass roots racing was built on American steel. I guess some guys like to hear the sound of a 4 cylinder sounding like a bee farting .

Many many parts of ''Real Race cars'' are made outside of America today.

And many many ''American Companies Made'' cars are made outside of America too.

And many supposedly ''Import'' cars are made right here in US or Canada.

Which one shall we pick: a GM car made in India, or a Toyota made in Texas???

So who's where and what's what is hard to pinpoint today. Better just go with the flow and enjoy what is being offered, while it still lasts.

My honda was made in this country.
And 30 years ago all the rwd v8 GM cars were what we were racing.
                                There GONE,thats the point.
Evolution is a fact , not speculation.
