  • NSS strictly stock rules

Well I hear there are some unhappy drivers with the no points and you cant protest somebody if you think they are cheating and if you win 5 or more races you have to move up. well I dont BLAME THEM! !! who in the world came up with this? they pay the same to get in the pits as everybody else. I know some of these guys work hard on there cars what a dumb move.

Why penalize someone who don't want to move up or can't afford to move up we just do this for fun and most of the time this class is entertaining Ok we win 5 times and don't move up then they lose a car plus 4or5 people that come with us that's very smart I hope they re think this new rule hummmm pay to get in and receive no pay keep racers in this class happy is a no brainer

Just put a 500$ claim on the car.

Just have the track buy one once in a while and make a show outta it, like burning it right there at finish line, or crush it with a loader or something.

The game here is to find ways to prevent people to spend 5//10G on a cluncker class car.

The intend of those classes is to have people come and race with 500$ or less cars, so if they pay you back your investment, nothing to bitch about and it make a show.. remember a show for the fans!!!!!

Just completely gut it,put a full cage in it and headers and go up the road to Volusia where they will treat you right. You will also get more track time and $30 just to start.

            Volusia open?

Sure seems to be to me, Last summer I was passing by on my way to Bubba's and I saw a sign saying they were open, no other ads that I saw even in local news papers, their classes grew almost every week, and the shows were as good as any other track. I still can't figure out why so many tracks need to race the same night? Dilutes the car counts and the fan base. seen all this crap happen yrs. ago in N.J., Pa. and N.Y., Where most of the real good tracks are now defunct, Nazareth, Flemington, Reading, Moc-A-Tek, Harmony, Dover,N.J., Morristown, etal. , all tracks that I visited at 1 time or other. Deja-vu all over again?

I bought my car 600 cage cell seat all ready to go 600. Out to lunch on pavement but works great on dirt. Thanks for answering my question on where to race this year kendo (other then chump car) I'll have to check volusia out now.

Also isn't the point of racing to be able to race? If you're worried about not getting paid you are doing this for the wrong reasons.

I agree that it probably takes more then 600 to build one from ground up. Still though just be happy track includes you still and did not get rid of class completely.

Well they didnt get paid before they ran for points and I think the points winner use to get in the next year free and a trophy. It wasnt much but at least they had something to race for. now they get nothing at all and now no incentive to come out at all. these cars cost money any way you look at it. and on top of that getting these cars to the track and the people they bring with them was money to the track . and alot of the time they bring more cars than the upper classes. its funny this is the class they ran every week no matter what was going on I dont blame them if they dont come back.

I agree but let's say they have a couple 500 or 1000 to win strictly stock features a year. The guys that run there weekly will have the advantage but it's still enough of a draw to get someone that runs their strictly stock somewhere else (me) to show up.

I'm not saying it doesn't cost money to run a strictly stock but if the track listens to me and my 600 car complain about not getting paid and the guy with the 15000 late model complaining who are they going to be more worried about pleasing? The guy with the late model will spend more money at the track therefore supporting the track "in terms of money" more then I ever could with my 600 junker.

At the end of the day it's just nice to have a track to race at isn't it? Would you rather race close by at NSS and not get paid or travel farther away and spend more money on gas and other expenses just for a chance at $100/$200 (I never finished high enough to know what pay out is)

The 500 claim. I understand your point but if my car was the selected car to get crushed that night then I'm done for the year. An extra 500/1000 is hard to come by. Which is why I'd rather just race for no money and still be able to race versus sitting and waiting for the rules to change. If people stop showing up for the class they won't change the rules around for it they will just get rid of class.

yea these cars are hard to find. crashing them would never happen especilly the big body monte cars .

Many modern cars would outrun the big old tanks that we all know and love. Get a FWD, EFI car from the junkyard and race away.

Well boneman from what I was told once a car is sold to a junkyard. there not supose to resale the car to anyone. its supose to be junked. but it can be parted out and parts sold. I called and asked and this is what I was told. you say many modern cars would work what model are you talking about? bottom line if I was out there I think I would want to be in the older metrix or big body monte because when one of those modern cars gets turned sideways on the track and gets t-boned its not going to pretty. most of them have no frame there is a reason NSS doesnt want the little unibody cars running there.
