Maybe that guy is telling the truth.

Jack says that about everyone he ever worked for.
Its in his nature but he does a good job at taking care of a track.

He is just waiting for the next sucker to take over and they will not pay him either so go take him some money. food drugs gas/ o yea fix his truck. lol

Hate to say it, but Don is right. Jack always gave Joyce a bad time before the Fords took over.
Acts like he owns the track sometimes..

RIP Jack Smith and Kim Brown. Many thanks for all you have done for our sport.

The situation here must be critical Tim Pafford hasn't offered to turn it around. It is very difficult to run a paved track in dirt country. Just look at SGMP a track that is really show place with no bad seats and paved pits.

I used to enjoy going to watch races at the Ellisville oval when I was in college. Had some great Sunday afternoon Late Model events.

No news flash here. I'm assuming track operators either:
              - make a little money
              - lose a little money
              - lose a lot of money

There are enough people willing to take on running a race track to make or lose a "little money". Very few people are willing to lose a lot of money.

Well, the word from the banquet is that a proposal has been submitted to Robert Hart and now we are just waiting on a response. So it's wait and see.
                just wantin' ta race.....

I appreciate that update and I wish the Fords- or whoever tries to operate Columbia- good luck. If it is open in 2014 I will be there.

EDIT; I see that 3 different people have asked about 2014 within the last day on their facebook page and I find it odd that they refuse to reply to them but will acknowledge other posts....
