  • I don't get it- Ellisville facebook

ok I understand that the Ellisville website is being run by a third party and they can only post information when they are given it by the track- which apparently has been nothing for about 3 months.

What about the facebook page, isn't that run by the track?

Look they replied to a question about the banquet within 4 minutes, and replied to the response in about 3 minutes. About 2 hours later someone asked them if they were running next year and guess what? No response yet after 5 DAYS!
WTF? what's the big secret- are you running in 2014 or not, yes or no?

Im sure it wasent a good season for them and the money has to come from some place.
If the fords don't come back next year there is someone willing to give it a try with a bag of money. Its easy just read the board and learn how to do it or ask Jerry lol..
I hope hope for the best for the fords. They were good to me..

I couldn't possibly do worse than anyone else in the last 10 years.

There's only 1 way to go from here.....

Wish I had that bag full of money that it takes. That, and the helicopter it would take to get me the 3 hours from home that it is. Can't run a racetrack by only showing up on race day. It takes a lot of hours ON the property for it to work.

Hey Jerry, there's a single wide on property. And a nice shop where I could store my car and you could work on it in your spare time.

The grounds and concessions have improved since the Fords took it over. Electrical repaired and some upgrades. On site maint. man lives in the s/w trailer.. Biggest thing is the racing surface needs repaving.. Big bucks there.

Don are you saying that there is someone that will open it this year if the Fords do not?

The Fords had decent purses for extra lap shows in all their classes from PS to SLM throughout the season- still didn't seem to draw many cars and I don't understand why they didn't.
I can remember when you had to park out on the road because the parking lot was full up....ahh hell I'm just living in the past I guess.

I remember those days too. in 95' we had at least 20 cars every night in the street stock class. I watch the videos every couple of years and am amazed..

Yes, the Ellisville Speedway LLC facebook page is controlled by the track and they have been very tight lipped about any future racing. We are hoping to have information Saturday. I do know that the flag man last year at Ellisville, Jimmy Durden, is now working at Bronson Speedway. Same with the Ellisville tech man, Grizz, he's now at Bronson. I'm reading into that it's a good idea to get my cars ready for Bronson. Hope I'm wrong but that's the way it looks to me.

does it mean anything that Ellisville Speedway is no longer on the list of tracks at that other website?

If your talking about the FASCAR sites of NSS and OSW, not really. Ellisville hasn't been affiliated with FASCAR for several years.

No the site I meant has had them listed since they reopened and they were on their up until this week- it has all the Florida tracks and their websites listed on the front page both dirt and asphalt.

I’m not familiar with that web site. Not sure of the answer. Would you mind posting the link to that site? Or send it to me?

                          Thanks,

with the tech man from ellisville at bronson they will lose what little cars they have too.He is slightly confused on the times. (1970s) IMO that place is a way better dirt track

Also the guy that lives there. If go to the speedway he seems to never have anything good to say. That guy (Jack) will tell you about how he never gets paid and how the ford have screwed him over. He could be a problem to he has no respect. For racers or spectators
