My point is that the tracks that seem to do well at the back gate have healthy supporting classes. They pay the same $$$ to get in.Some tracks get it and are treating all drivers as such. The result is pits filled with cars.Hopefully some of these drivers will work their way up and go on to become future mod or late model drivers....Its quite simply,,,it all starts from the bottom up.
That actually is the root of the problem we have now. Years ago, track promoters decided the best way to increase the purse was to increase the take at the back gate. And the easiest way to do that was to keep inventing more and more low cost classes that would bring in more entry and pit pass money. So a lot of tracks ended up with a lot of classes with different names that pretty much looked and performed the same.
As the popularity of racing began to die off, the tracks, and mostly the fans, were faced with numerous classes of entry level race cars with 4 or 5 cars per class. And that does not a show make.

Because they all share the same rules whether you are in NJ,PA,or NY...

Same here,,,all tough just think about how excellent the racing would be with 24 cars instead of 5...which is my point...

Once again,,,do your self a favor and head to the dirt track....What you see at the asphalt track is a return in what the track is putting into the class, which is nothing.

Several of us have gone this route...you will have a BLAST! totally different ball game. The regional director is unbiased and very fair to everyone. Wait unit you attend a drivers meeting with 800 drivers...its crazy. Also the races are well organized and the people are friendly. Hit me up if you need any pointers or help.

Brett will be promoting the season opener at OCFS in NY.This track has decent car counts with mods, sportsman, and the return of 358's last year, but needs a good shot in the arm as far as fan attendance goes...
Will be watching closely to see how it goes

We are running this race so we are eligible for Daytona.

Chumpcar is fun but the money to drive one race is over $1000. Plus the drivers are at the mercy of the owner when you pay. I have done chumpcar as a PAYING driver for over 5 years and could tell you scary stories of money lost. (without names of course).

What I think we need is bigger trophies..

You should just buy your own car and go run SCCA, NASA, PBOC, or any of those other series.
lets all take a long ride on a short bus.

I quit fishing because no one was standing at the docks handing out money when i got back, why did you quit racing?
