You do not own this message board and no one and I repeat NO ONE can come on here and attack people the way you do and have. I get more compliants on you and your posts than I have ever had in all the years I have had to work on these boards, both past and present. Now you want to come on here and say you have an attorney who will say you can post whatever you want since it is on the internet and take us to court.

I guess you have never seen other boards being taken totally away because that is what people did and the owner just plainly took them down.

There are alot of good people who use this board for what and is intended but you can either do it the rule way or you can keep on being deleted until you realize that you are not wanted. You are welcome to post only if you behave.

You all are giving this guy WAAAAAAAAYYYY too much attention. He's sitting at home, eating this up, and thinking of more things to piss everyone off.

I've actually found it funny that he's managed to rile up so many people.

Quit paying attention, and I'm sure he'll either change his ways, or just go away completely. It takes 2 sides for an arguement, and he's counting on you people to keep responding.

In a warped and twisted way, he may be the smartest person on here in a long time. He's fooled dozens of people so far!

AMEN!!! on that....Randy hasnt raced for 2 weeks,and tomorrow he is racing the 40 lapper $2500 to win race that was supposed to be in january....if it rains out this time that will be for the 4th time....So hopefully the liquid stuff will stay away from the track

"Internet troll" or "Forum Troll" is a person who posts outrageous message to bait people to answer. Trolls delight in sowing discord on the forums. A troll is someone who inspires flaming rhetoric, someone who is purposely provoking and pulling people into flaming discussion. Flaming discussions usually end with name calling and a flame war.

A classic troll tries to make us believe that he is a skeptic. He is divisive and argumentative with need-to-be-right attitude, "searching for the truth", flaming discussion, and sometimes insulting people or provoking people to insult him. A troll is usually an expert in reusing the same words of its opponents and in turning it against them.

While he tries to present himself as a skeptic looking for truth ... his messages usually sound as if it is the responsibility of other forum members to provide evidence that what forum is all about is legitimate.

He (and in at least 90% of cases it is he) tries to start arguments and upset people.

Sometimes, he is skeptical, trying to scare people, trying to plant fear in their hearts. Sometimes, Internet troll is trying to spin conflicting information, is questioning in an insincere manner, flaming discussion, insulting people, turning people against each other, harassing forum members, ignoring warnings from forum moderators.

Trolling is a form of harassment that can take over a discussion. Well meaning defenders can create chaos by responding to trolls. The best response is to ignore it, or to report a message to a forum moderator. Ubuntuforums moderators usually move troll messages to the jail and may even ban trolls after a few unheeded warnings. Negative emotions stirred up by trolls leak over into other discussions. Normally affable people can become bitter after reading an angry interchange between a troll and his victims, and this can poison previously friendly interactions between long-time users.

Finally, trolls create a paranoid environment, such that a casual criticism by a new arrival can elicit a ferocious and inappropriate backlash.

When trolls are completely ignored they sometimes step up their attacks, desperately seeking the attention they crave. Their messages become more and more foul, and they post ever more of them. Alternatively, they may protest that their right to free speech is being curtailed. Perhaps the most difficult challenge for a moderator is deciding whether to take steps against a troll that a few people find entertaining. Some trolls do have a creative spark and have chosen to squander it on being disruptive. There is a certain perverse pleasure in watching some of them. Ultimately, though, we have to decide if the troll actually cares about putting on a good show for the regular participants, or is simply playing to an audience of one -- himself. For this reason the staff here often intervene, either with a warning in a thread, jailing one or more posts, sending private messages to offenders, and even banning people--temporarily or permanently--from these forums.

As an idea, the next time you see a post by somebody whom you think is a troll, and you feel you must reply, maybe you could just write a follow-up message in the thread entitled "Troll Alert" and type something like this.

so what would you call someone who kept stringing him out till he hit the end of his rope? were they fooled?

you also may have missed the part where he threatened to sue the board, Jane deleted that post herself. i don't know anyplace that that won't get you an instant banination.

playing chicken with other forum members to keep things riled up might be "smart"( ass ). playing chicken with a mod or admin definitely is not. you don't play russian roulette with 6 rounds chambered.

Last night I was asked at Orlando why I finally said enough is enough. And I explained why and the one comment that really got me to that point that there could be no more. Maybe brokeback added flavor to the board that some really liked but alot didn't and I have the e-mails to prove it. But when he began his sue deal and lawyer and we can do what we want without caring who it hurts because it is the internet and no one controls the internet, that got me. This board is owned by one person and one person only. He has more than once wanted to take it down and just throw it away like other sites that I have known and done it. I did not want that to happen on this one because the majority of this board is good and is used for what it was intended to be used for.

I have nothing against brokeback himself, only some of the posts that he made. There comes a time in all our lives where we are surrounded by so much hate and bad things that one more breaks the camel's back and that is what happened. I gave him a chance to behave and he chose not to and frankly, there were too many e-mails complaining about his posts.

Put it this one. I have this daughter-in-law who I gave a chance because no one would because she had done alot of bad things. For that, she stole my jewelry, my money and just last weekend broke into my house and stole my money for my trip and my son's prescription drugs. Now, she won't get arrested for my money because I am sure it was gone that day but she will be arrested for trying to refill those prescriptions without my son's consent since they have not lived together as husband and wife for almost two years.
She was given chance after chance to be a decent person and could not and me and my family have paid more than the price for that. She stole my identity, has racked up too many credit cards to count against me and just walked away laughing because she said the companies will just mark them off as fraud. Well, not this time because I am charging her with identity theft and thanks to Bill Posey and his help, she will have to answer for that.

The point is that brokeback was given chance after chance and warned to behave. He chose not to just like my soon-to-be ex-daughter in law. Any person can take so much, forgive so much, and when you see it is not going to change no matter what you do, then you must do something to stop the hurting. Brokeback may very well be a very nice person in real life but I had to listen to the majority who did complain about him and finally just had to stop it.

Brokeback is welcome to register as a new member but if this starts all over again, he will be gone again. The rules of the board do apply to everyone and when there needs to be windex, there is windex.
