FTS cancels TBARA scheduled event for 8-10-13

So you know, when you pull up the main page for KARNAC.COM a banner still exists in the right-hand margin advertising that TBARA will be at FTS on the 10th. Might wanna pull that down so that nobody goes there expecting Sprints.

TBARA site said that FTS would not sign there contract that means the track did not want to payout they requested purse. At least Showtime does not mind paying a decent purse and they put fans in the seats for these races. Until the other tracks step up and payout what they need to race on they will not get the following Showtime is getting. Yoho is giving the Sprints a place to race and making the racing better, do to everyone trying to beat Dave Steele.

I ran with the TBARA from when Don ran the show through the bull crap from all the promoters cutting the purse in half. A lot of owners that where the money behind the top teams have left do to the mismanagement of the club, and it was not just one person it was a group effort since Don was President.

My opinion.

I was not good friende with Don but I had many TBARA races with him. He was the best they have had. I am still friends with a few of the car owners and drivers. I also am friends with a few of the old track owners.
The drivers and the tracks don't think there getting a fair shake. The relationship between the track and the sprint drivers needs to be fixed. The fans are the big loser now.
There must be 50 teams in florida and most of them are racing out of state. There 20 or more cars in shops with dust on them.
Try a fair purse with a fair set of rules . a little respect and things will fix themselves.

Bring back the wingless Sprints and you will get a full field of cars.Who wants to watch a Dave Steele show who in my opinion is the best there is. TBARA lost out when Don left .. He is a racers promoter..Look what Bubba has done to Sprints.. Threw Don out saying TOP GUNS aren't sprints,Well now all you need is a lawn mower with a wing and you can race there. If every track owner would post there purse and stick to it you will have a faithful following..There are over 100 sprints in Florida we should have full fields every time. YOHO should put on a topless show

Show me the money

There are more than 10 teams that run out of state. They pay $2000.00 plus to win and $300 to start and THEY PAY not like local track that cut the purse after you put on a show.

Never cared for sprint car racing period. Much rather see late models, trucks or open wheel mods. Just hope they add some big races in other classes. Vince

He has to pay that good to get any cars because he definitely plays favorites, and he still isn't getting close to 18 car fields. Those guys that are going out of state are helping florida sprint racing more than the guys that are running without sanction here for chump change. imho
