    Hey Rusty...

I for one think that you are making a great effort.... I only wish that NSS would make that effort... My racing is on the blocks for a short time as well due to my Ex wife and a few other little problems, but very soon.... LOL... I wish you the best of luck and do commend you on your efforts... Hope all works well... Would love to go to OSW on Friday as I am in NSB, but work calls and bills yell... Lots of long days and little money....

25 cars??? are you kidding?? hahahahaha. When you have a Superlate model big race that pays more than the average Friday night (which is still not enough) you dont even get 25 cars. Yea look at what you said about the Superstock race 50 lapper. What did it pay 500.00 to win? 19 cars showed up? You know there are more Superstocks out there. I don't understand your fuzzy math here. What im trying to get at here Rusty is that during your big races you cant even get the car count up. You are trying to set a goal that is not possible to do. I agree with Boneman on this one to a degree. But however at least you are thinking outside the box... Just a little to far... Mike

I knew brokedickmike would get on here. He and Bones make a good point though, how many minis are out there.......? Did most go dirt? BUT who wants to race for second every week at osw?
Sorry guys but the 92 is hard to beat. $$$$
I give Rusty credit for trying something different.

          Payout?

I thought the 50 lapper was $300 to win, $200 for second since they wanted to pay further back in the field for the Super Stock.

Rusty, you are doing all that you can do to get people out there to race. But if you don't have the money to race because of the economy, then what are we suppose to do? Not pay our bills to go racing? Sorry, we have too many bills to pay right now because of my hospital stay in March. Feeding our family and keep a roof over our heads come first, then we go racing when we can afford it.

Another thing that got us was the change of tires for our class. I agree with John about mods going to these tires so we can still get take offs. I got one set from a guy racing a truck but we can't afford any more tires right now. Which means if we do make it out there, we have no treaded spare to put on the car if something happens. Along with gas prices going on both at the track and for our personal vehicle is making it rough. Hubby is still bicycling to work and we limit our driving for all errands.

Rusty and all the other FASCAR group we wish you the best of luck in all that you do. One day we hope to be back out there racing, might have to wait until next season (hope not).

Rusty, I think your heart is in the right place. Your problem is that you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. You are trying to increase car count, which is good!! But what about the guys that have been there every week to support you? What you are wanting to do is reward the guys who just show up. How about rewarding the drivers who have been there week end and week out? Make it to be like, say you have have to race 3 or 4 weeks in a row and then you get a $50-$25-$15 bump in pay. As long as you keep on racing, the pay will be there. The first race you miss, you start all over.In my opinion, this would get you more cars in the long run. Times are tough right now and if you show them you understand and are willing to help them out, they will respond.
On a personal note, I don't race no more [my kids do, with my money], but when I left the house, I knew what I was racin for. NOT what I could be racin for. This is just my opinion and you can take it for what you want. I do wish you the best of luck though!!!!!

              super stocks

I race the #11 super stock at nss. We are going to the next 50 lapper at osw and I know that a lot of the other nss guys are talking about it. I can see this race making 25 entries. So here is my question is the purse going to be $1,000 or will it not be doubled because it's a "special event"

Todd, I was looking at OSW schedule and I don't see a 50 lapper listed. Do you know when it is suppose to be and have they advertised it as $500 to win?

Still looking at OSW schedule for Homer's Memorial Race. It is usually done in October.

No David, we have not dropped modifieds. They are just off right now due to series races.

It just sounded like it the way Rusty said it. I haven't been out there much and so I thought I missed something.

I know that there isn't a 50 lapper listed but they say that there should be one in the next month or so. 50 lappers always pay $500 at nss, is it different at osw?
