Should be in jail
Just seen the news on TV (wink channel) I can't believe what Kevin Williams did to the track I have enjoyed since moving here in 1993. I couldn't believe what I just saw, not only did he take a lot of stuff that was there way before he was, what he didn't take he cut -up and destroyed. There is nothing left, the stands are gone, the fencing is gone the railings down the front straight away looks like he cut up with a sawzall, cut the flag stand off at the ground. The speaker wires pulled from the poles and stretched out all over the ground. I really hoped some one would try to re-open the track but I guess it will never happen now, but that is what Mr. Williams wanted. After seeing what Williams did to that track I can see his true colors, what a low life, little man he is. Hopefully there will be jail time and a huge fine and compensation for what he did. We will never give Full Throttle a dime of our money. Sorry, but I'm so D*** mad I can't believe what I just seen

Kevin was the promoter/lease holder at Punta Gorda (Charlotte County), Ricky. He just bought DeSoto (or is leasing it, I'm not quite sure exactly), and he's renaming it "Full Throttle Speedway" (lame name, if ya ask me...LOL...and yeah...I know...nobody did).Originally posted by ModelCarMan View Post

WOW! Don't know the dude, but sounded like the guy was doing a great thing opening desktop back up. But damn what's up with track naming lately around here? Hope the dude straights everything out at PGS, not good if he did that to that track. Just going to harder for the next person to try and open it. Well it IS alledged (sp?) at this point. Will you at least give him that? I didn't do two tours in the service to give up Due Process. Considering I myself didn't see the news clip you're talking about I don't even know that there was a news cast at this point.Comment

The fact is, you have no idea what is his and what is not. He has stated over and over that he has records and receipts to prove his ownership of track assets.
I'm sad that PGS is so far down, but this is a rough business, and the fault that it is so messed up lies on the shoulders of others, IMHO.Comment

I know for a fact the flag stand came from the old Sunshine Speedway along with the bleachers. Hurricane Charley destroyed that place. So if he bought it he owns it .I'm sure if the airport thinks he stole they will settle it in court.Comment
