Anyone can drive around a 2 1/2 mile parking lot with their foot on the floor.

Face it, diehard NASCRAP fans....the powers that be have taken one of the most exciting, edge of your seat sports and turned it into the most boring "events" in the world. World Cup soccer and women's basketball look like rodeos and MMA compared to a race on any track larger than a mile.

In fact, 1 mile is the size they should have retained as their "Superspeedway" track. Trouble was they couldn't cram enough people into one of these and they were losing out on potential sheep they could fleece. So on came the BIIIGGGGG tracks. And then mooorre big tracks. So many they started taking away races from the tracks that were their backbone. Tracks that MADE them what they were 20 years ago.
Then they shit all over their loyal fans even more by not only raping them with "required minimum ticket purchases" but they had the audacity to do away with the parity and competition for a mandated cookie cutter race cars whose only discernible difference was the headlight stickers up on the nosepiece.



But I digress. (Takes a long sip of my Yuengling...)

for once oj I agree with 95% of your post. The part about NASCAR. But there is one good thing about it, I get some of my best nap time watching a NASCAR race on T.V. ESPECIALLY Daytona and Talle. Last time I went to Daytona, I fell asleep, bumped the guy beside me, he spilled all his beer all over me and threatened to beat me! But all was not lost, at least I woke up and watched the remaining 25 cars, even those 5 laps down play follow the leader to the finish.
Now, as for Danica I wouldn't say she "sucks', I'd just say she's another spoiled skinny little girl that can't drive at the NASCAR level, but we need someone to thin the field out and cause "The big one" that so many seem to be more interested in than racing. Again, I say she'll be gone by lap 50, sorry ez, no need to get all upset at me!!!! LOL

It cost almost as much for a family of four to go to the movies. I would dare to say food is more expensive at the racetrack than the movies. Ticket prices are about double at a racetrack. Life sucks when you're broke or cheap. LOL !

sorry EZ, movies at the theatre in New Smyrna are about $10, that times four always was $40, popcorn is outrageous but even at $10 you're at $50, and you see a show. Call me cheap if you want, you've called me everything else LOL, but $50, and I don't really think the tickets are $10, but $100+ for racing at a local short track I say is still a little steep. Trust me EZ, I'm not broke OR cheap!

Just checked!! Ticket prices at New Smyrna Beacon, which is a nice theatre is $8.25 adult, all shows. New Bruce Willis movie, good as it gets. 8.25 x 2 = $16.50. 2 children @ $6.25=$12.50. Total$29.00 + $10 for popcorn. Thats $39.00 total. Just saying! This is simply in reply to EZ saying its as expensive to go to the movies.

Good math skills, except I said almost not equal. Last movie I went to was $12.50 each for adults as compared to $15.00 at a local weekly racing ticket price. I would say that's ALMOST as much. I did not know you could go to a movie for $8.25 anymore. Podunk towns have cheaper prices than a prosperous metropolitan city. LOL ! Argue back now. Hehe, you can't. I miss you already.
