Although X-mas does not mean the taking of Christ out of Christmas, it is offensive to some christians. Out of respect to those that find it offensive, it's best to write or say Christmas.

Maybe OJ needs an exorcism kit for Christmas.

I enjoyed learning where the X comes from .. I was taught that as a young boy in the 60's yet never knew the meaning of the X.. It was always just an abb.

            Well Robin,
I often say Happy Holidays so my Jewish, Jehovah Witnesses, non-Christian, or atheist friends are not left out. The holidays also include New Years and a few other celebrations. On Christmas day, I'll say Merry Christmas. The people of Gotham should not get upset when people choose to use a different version of a holiday greeting than they use. Those of us that use something other than "Merry Christmas" are trying to include everyone in the holiday spirit. Why is it "Christians" are trying to exclude others from celebrating? Remember the Christmas date was chosen to replace a pagan holiday and it isn't the actual date of the birth of Christ.
            Happy Holidays,

Why is it non-Christians even celebrate Christmas. When they are rotting in hell, with Satan, I don't think think they will be celebrating Jesus Christ birthday with cake and ice cream every year. Do people of other countries celebrate the 4th of July or Memorial Day ? Why try to change something that has nothing to do with their beliefs ?

                I'm a Christian and I celebrate Christmas.

All I can say is "My friend Matt... I'll see you in that proverbial hell that we'll both be going to".

But we're gonna have some company from these intolerant "Christians" that are so full of intolerance and hatred. I thought those were two of the virtues they were supposed to learn.... but the rules only apply to those that believe the same as each other. Anything varying from Dave or EZ's beliefs will be cast into some mythical fiery room with the 'bad guy'.

And since there is NO PROOF they are right, it's ignorant to insist that everyone else is wrong.

In my family, the term Merry Christmas is more about peace, love, family, being grateful for what we have, and sympathy for those that are suffering... than it is about religion. If I can't wish someone a Merry Christmas, or even write the words X-Mas, for what the season means to ME, then shame the hell out of anyone who criticizes me for it.

I don't care what religion you are, what color of your skin, the accent of your language... when i wish someone a Merry Christmas, it is an offering of peace and love to ALL.

If Christ is your own personal reason for the season, than GREAT for you. But since MY meaning isn't the same, I guess I shouldn't bother at all.

If there IS a hell, I guess I'll be going there.... But Dave & EZ, don't worry, I'll have a cold beer waiting on you guys when YOU show up.

                              About CHRISTmas...my thoughts...

Jerry is right about one thing.. this season is about love and caring.. To me no one is a sinner until he stands before our Maker and our Maker decides. it isnt up to us to judge anyone... some people think that because they are "Christians" they have the right to judge... we dont. i am hurt when i see Xmas...but i dont think everyone who uses that means to be disrespectful...I keep the CHRIST in Christmas because thats what I believe. Thats what the day means for me but if anyone...spreads good cheer it is welcomed...there are much more ways to be a good Christian than making sure you are politically correct...its whats in your heart that matters. Please stop being mean to each other and try to make the season about love and helping others who arent as fortunate as yourself.
Im not a biblical scholar but if i remember we are not supposed to Glorify Jesus for being "born"... He didnt have much to do with that. We are supposed to Glorify Him at Easter time when He gave His life for us thru horrible suffering.....
Most CHRISTIAN people have a few Santa Clauses in their homes to decorate. they leave cookies for Santa... on Easter there are eggs and bunnies...kinda makes ya think about things.. Mixed morals? Not my place to judge...These are just my opinions and dont matter at all. I will stand before Him...not you. ;-)
Love u all in spite of some of the mean things said in the past. Every breath i take now is a gift.. i am grateful...
