Well...that's good. Makes for only a so-so race on a 1/4 mile, though :/

I think they shot themselves in the foot, though, representing this race as the "Florida State Championship".

The Florida State Championship was held last weekend at New Smyrna.

Nice insult, there, bud. Would've expected a more mature comment.

I know I would've expected a LOT more cars - not even "quality" cars - to show up. The money (payout) was certainly there; the fans showed up. Where were all the cars? I wouldn't have been surprised at all if some of the fans asked for their money back after that (lack of a) show.

"Quality race" and "11 cars" don't belong in the same sentence.

I won't be critical because you live in Obama's Nest! I taped the race at Showtime and it was a class race. For 11 cars they put on a whale of a show and I tape there in the grand stands and I don't think there was a fan very upset with paying for that show. They witnessed some heads up racing. I have taped programs where there was 28 cars on thr track and the car that started on the pole won. That wasn't the case here. There was passing every where. Like Ralph said there was 4 different leaders. I think there was only 3 cautions. The first 50 laps were run straight green. I was praying for a caution. Not only that the street Stock race and the Mod Mini race were worth the price of admission on their own merit. It was a good show and Robert payed the Big money he promised. I talked to Robert before the show started and although he was disappointed in the LM count he was determined to put on a show for his fans. I believe that's why he has full stands every week.

I went to Tampa for thanksgiving from Miami and stop by the track. I thought the late model race was good. They were spread out around lap 50 then a caution came out for the 23 car broke. Then it got good again when cope passed on the outside to take the lead. The intermission took long because they were waiting on the 9 car to get ready. The owner thanked everyone and joked with everyone which made a great show in my opinon. If I had a late model I would definitely be there for $5 grand!! The stands were packed and it was COLD!!
