I don't miss many big races but this week at work two days holiday double time worked OT wednesday then picked up today and tomorrow. Couldn't mess up such a good check by not working Saturday. Can someone please update who all is there, qualifying race ,etc. Go get em Daniel Webster. See you all at the Dale on 12/08

Well...that's good. Makes for only a so-so race on a 1/4 mile, though :/

I think they shot themselves in the foot, though, representing this race as the "Florida State Championship".

The Florida State Championship was held last weekend at New Smyrna.

Thanks for the updates. I am really surprised that there were only 11 cars but it sounds like a good race anyways. Sounds good good to hear the name Cope back in the winners circle there, watched Jimmy win a bunch he was the man.

The race only had 11 cars but it had 4 different leaders. Was a good race and an outside pass for the lead that led to the win. The other classes had very good races also.

it was a good race, and what difference does it make what they call the race? 5000.00 to win surely should have been enough to draw more cars then that. to bad for them i dont think travis cope cares at all what they call it do you think????????

Cope doesn't care at all that there were only 11 cars... but I'm betting that YOHO cares there was a pathetic field for an outstanding payout.

Just goes to show that the old theory that "If you put out money, they WILL come".... just is NOT true.

It's true the money was there, but the cars weren't. Dunno why more didn't show up, but hopefully they'll figure it out. It was still a good clean race. Travis Cope had the car to beat and made the outside groove work. Yoho, like him or not, did keep the purse, did thank the fans all night and did apoligize for the low late model count. But for a 15 dollar show, there was a lot of good racing in all the classes. Only complaint would be the length of intermission and the pre-race activities for the late models.
