I wasn't kidding about Wednesday. Its important to distinguish because NASCAR and your favorite local short track. A series like NASCAR has a national (actually world wide) following, and only a fraction can make it to any particular event. They need instant results to keep the distant fans involved. But the local track depends on the same small fan base to attend the events in person. Those fans have to feel like they are missing something if they don't go out to the track and buy a ticket.

Why not just broadcast the local short track show on TV? Because if you give it away, fewer fans will attend.

              Awwww....

....he just don't want people readin' about how far back he finished the previous week until he can think up a good story for why......usually around Wednesday morning he's come up with a pretty good lie about a flat tire or somethin'.......

Don't blame me for that......I was channeling the ghost of Tunastank there for a minute......

                Just my 2 cents...

I like to follow friends I have that are racing. If tracks don't post the results what are you going to do call everyone that raced and find out where they finished.

Also I like to travel to different tracks to race and like too watch the results so I know who is fast.

We live in the 21st century!! NO EXCUSE not to have some kind of timely posting of results. Also how about some type of race recap.

I live 25 minutes from "Showtime" have some friends racing there and have no clue who raced, what raced, what the finishes were, who got dq'd and why, whats coming up etc......

Hopefully they start communicating with all of us before it is too late.

I have tried to do that at Showtime while I have been there, but I had trouble getting the results for a while. I do have the results now when I leave on Saturday. Rick Day prints them for me. I wish I had time to type them in to the computer so every one had them but I don't. One thing Showtime doesn't have post race interviews. PG has them and that gives me a source of material to use for the wrap. + the announcer takes the time every week to do voice over with me for the wrap and the promo.

Been to Showtime twice now, and still have NO clue who 1/2 the drivers are that I saw. I like being able to 'fill in the blanks' after I DID spend the money to go, yet couldn't hear all the names over the PA system. Some tracks are downright horrible to hear at, whether it's a poor system, or an announcer with no sense of timing of WHEN to speak.

The next day, when it's fresh in my mind, is when I want to find the info I didn't hear, or know, about last night.

By Wednesday, it all becomes irrelevant.

Just for Showtime's info... I went to their website yesterday to check the results... Clicked on "results" and got their Speednet page, but... it is all screwed up... You guys need to get with your webmaster to figure out what's wrong...

                          Hey Bob,

I watch your promos a lot. Its one of the best I have seen. I maybe get to race at Punta Gorda 2 or 3 times a year if I am lucky. But I have made some friends down there and its cool to keep up with them and WHATS HAPPENING down south.

I know more about a track 126 miles away then one 26 miles away!

I will probably get "branded" as one of those "if you don't like it don't come people" that is just an easy excuse to throw out rather than deciding if the communication problem is real or imagined.
