Yes Mr Berti it was Steve Evonsion. Used to love him watch the maroon coach #300 at the Park.

Here are a couple more before we head out to the races.

    The Killer
    Professor
    Flyin' Ryan (not Newman)
    The Hammer
    T Mac
    EPJ
    King
    Rebel Ross
    JP
    T-Bone
    Flyin Fire Chief from Haverhill.

Hope the rain stays away from all tracks tonight. You mentioned Showtime tonight with the Sprints. I'll be heading (hopefully) to East bay for final chance to use my rain stubs from a couple of weeks back. East Bay Sprints, Fl Mini Sprints plus more. Should be a good show. Drive safe everyone.
After Steve Evonsion, Gig Smith took over driving the #300. From what I understand Gig lives in Florida and has for a while.

On to my guesses on your latest nickname list.

    Larry "Killer" Keaton
    The Professor - Ivedent Lloyd
Flyin’ Ryan Jamison or Ryan Preece
    Doug "The Hammer" Smith
King - Eddie "King" Carpenter a legendary midget racer.
    Rebel Ross - Dale Horton
    J.P. - Jean Paul Cabana
    Justin "T-Bone" Haer
Flyin' Fire Chief - Stanley "Stub" Fadden

      • Gig Smith does live down here. He ran Late Models for a bit here in Fla, and last I saw him he was helping out the Kevyn Terry Modified team.

That would be long time track photographer Bobby Day. While he never was known for it he did drive a race car early on in his career. His photos make up a significant partt of Eddie Roche,s Motorsports Retrospective books.
