Tommy, thanks for the kind word. I just hate seeing the sport I love slowly fade away. I haved lived in Fla. since 1993, and don't play golf and never owned a fishing pole, I have been into racing since 1977, crew member, driver, then car owner and have never seen racing this bad as far as car counts go. If you fill the pits the stands will fill too. There is a lot of things that could be changed, but the big thing is the cost to race your car at a track. That hard tire will last a long time and in most cases, a guy with the bigger motor can't hook-up all his extra HP. More cars on the track, more people in the stands and everyone is happy...........

I do agree with the hard tire. That was one of the issues with the 10 inch tire. If it is as soft as the 8 inch they are using now then it will let the big engine guys dominate even easier then. To me nothing kills a class quicker than when the guys who can afford super big engines are able to use all the power they make. After awhile they are the only ones left playing.

          To All

I keep hearing the dying sport.............I say Bull $#%#$. If you treat the racers fare.......If you pay the racers a decent payout..........They will come. We had 23 mods at citrus this weekend for a 50 lap race. I think a total of 90 cars in the pits. I am not a big believer in the grooved tires and never have been............mods belong on slicks. Someone said on here that you will have to have tethers and different brakes for the 10" tires..........dont forget we run stock spindals as well. As for the car count.........take a look at some non-fascar tracks. Citrus ,A dale,P.G. they at least pay 600 to win. I think p.g. is a little better than that and Citrus just upped it to 700 for a win and a little more through the field. 200 or 300 to win is absolutely rediculous for a modified.........If you win you may get gas money, gate fees, and a burger back but not much more. I travel 2 hours to citrus and have a four man crew add tires and fuel...........well do the math. I cant see fascar ever rebounding until they pay the RACER.

            It is a vicious circle.

Pay the racer to get the cars
get the fans to have the money to pay the racer

Somewhere the loop broke down at Fascar
nss and osw are two of the sweetes tracks around. They both can pull plenty from the areas around them in fan base and cars. They can also pull from each other, being on different nights.

did you know, you can advertise on late nite TV for almost nothing? Can you imagine sensationalizing a bomber type race, late models or? Just stick the sensational parts on the tube and a phone number for tickets? Stay off driver interviews and so on, just show the wrecks. Yeah, I don't like wrecks, but to fill the stands and thus pits?

              Yes

Two racetracks that I want to run on.........Its still a goal of mine. They look like awesome racetracks...........but how does a racer like me on a budget afford to make that trip......when the payout is so low.........Also racers like me have to WORK for a living. Friday racing is not very realistic for the working man unless he lives very close. Just my opinion
