The Sentinel has a good racing writer who loves the local track (Steven Cole Smith) but I just don't think they give him the space.

Starting this week we should be getting results posted in the East Orlando Sun, a local paper out here on the east side.

I work at Ocala Speedway and go to Volusia and NFS when I can. I have heard the Volusia announcer talk about Ocala over the P.A. during the races about races coming up at our track. Putnam county is opening up soon and they are gonna run Ocala rules, which inturn mirrors Volusia rules. Right there are 3 tracks that are working together to make racing better by having the same rules. You don't have that with asphalt racing. I know that Mike from Ocala has tried to contact the owner of Lake City dirt, but he has not returned the phone call. I'm not trying to indicate anything bad about Lake City cause I know that he has another job that pays his bills. All I'm trying to say is it seems that the DIRT people are trying to work together to make racing better, while the asphalt people are sticking to themselves to stay alive.
      Just my opinion.

The NFS folks have been at our track recently and we agreed to get together.
