There really was no fight. Childress went and attacked Kyle while he was on the way to the M/H parking area. Kyle didn't even defend himself or fight back. I also would have a hard time fighting an old man. Give Kyle credit for that as he would have definately looked bad.
Great move by Childress to try and lure Kyle into a fight while he's on probation. Chiken Sheet in my book.
BTW, the on track contact after the flag was pretty mild.
Childress acted with absolutley zero class. You wouldn't see Rick Hendrick, Roger Penske or Joe Gibbs acting like that. This is supposed to be a higher level of the sport.
Childress's cast of characters over the years have torn up more than their share of competitors cars and like I said, nothing was really torn up at the truck race. Richard is getting old and forgets much of his past...

Hell no...but one should evolve and mellow out a bit!
Who knows what Childress was thinking but, that's not the way the owner of a million dollar enterprise, representing premier corporations should act. As Pres Obama once said about a Mass. cop, "he was acting stupidly".
I think about it. I am not 65 yet, but I would never take on a mid-20's young man...unless I was armed!

so childress should have held him down with a super soaker?
WOW! That is kind of funny!!!! Everyone pines away at the good old days and how wonderful they were, then one of veterans has a flashback and he is classless????
While I do not condone fighting at the race track, if you were a fan of the "old Style" this was classic!!!!!! I have met Childress at OSW when the kids were racing there. I would not fight him either!!!!! He is a big guy! Add old school, temper, and messing with family...I bet he would be a force to contend with! He is just like the rest of us! He was protecting his family!!! And somthing that might seem minor to outsiders, was not minor to him!
Now are you going to call him one of "NASCAR'S" robots???? LOL
I agree Rusty. Remember in the old days of racing when 2 guys would have a problem on the track. Fans setting in the grandstans would move to a area were they could see the pits to watch what was going to happen. Then come back next week to see if this would be finished on not. Busch did the right thing, let the racing org. take care of the problem. Once again, in the pits everyone has a cell phone, wants to call the cops rather then let the track take care of the problem.
most likely. When you have 18-20 year olds racing and guys alot older racing at short tracks just as good if not better. Most people that go to these races, ask them who a old schooler is, see if they know who they are. plus new schoolers they have to kiss the sponsors butt.
