the lowest car count was 20....more than adequate for a good show...why imply the car counts were not good? Bad Karma man...

A smart promoter would not want huge car counts...cost him more in purse $...a lesson from Lonnie Prevatt! Then you don't have to worry about those high $ purses (as you call them).

I look at things maybe a little different then others. So you guys dont take it the wrong way this is just my opion. With the economy in the state it is in i would think car counts for all series are down, alcohol is over 6 dollars a gallon and fuel for the haulers are above $3.50 a gallon. The weekend warriors that raced on pay check to pay check can no longer servive.As for the TBARA not bringing fans in the seats i wouldnt put that blame on the club or its car counts. With only 20 cars at desoto, I think TBARA put on one of its best shows in a long time. The clubs are showing up putting the shows on, now its up to the track owners and promotors to put the people in the seats. I think its time for the tracks that are losing money when the so called big money series come to town to maybe start thinking outside the box to get fans in the seats. In my eyes its the promotors job. TBARA puts the best show on it the state hands down.

... Their first race at Columbia should go a long way in determining how they'll do this year since they tend to have lower car counts there than anywhere else, mostly due to the travel distance...

Is columbia on the tbara schedule this year?In fact I have not seen a columbia schedule yet either.

The purse for TBARA has gone up substantially in 2008 in order to purchase more oxygen for Sonny Hartley! lol
