I haven't been to a kart track in about 2 years or more. We are going to try to put together a deal to run that 25k race at Jasper later on this year. Yeah, Jake did a great job last night. Spun once after a little contact when he got loose and then again after some more unintentional contact but made his way back to the top 10. I'll bet he passed 20 or more last night. Looking forward to seeing you guys, hopefully at a LM track!

BigBlock I was wondering why he didn't contest the spot after getting spun. I was watching that as it happened and I saw Boyd get into him slightly and then try to lay off but got him again. I think he should have gone right back up to his spot he might have had a better chance of keeping it had he put up a fight for it.

DeMan, Jake came on the radio and more or less accpeted responsibility for the spin. He got really loose and Boyd justy barely tapped him. No worries tho. I'm not so sure it was an all bad thing. Our main goal was to gain valueable experience, and we did that. Having to come from the back on two occations and still get into the top 10 was very impressive. Considering his age and the fact that this was his first ever start in a LM make it all but phenominal. That young man has a bright future in front of him and had been blessed with something most young racers at his level have at this stage: the ability to be very humble, take everything in stride and be very appreciative of where he is and what it took to get him there. He really is a remarkable young man and I am honored to have worked with he and his family over the last 4 years.

          A late report is....

          well....a late report.

Rick A. and Deman already gave out all the important details from last night. Everyone (at least in the LM's) made it through tech, I didn't see any beat downs going on anywhere (but I did get there a little late) and I never even saw John all night so I got nothin' to report on that front either......

          BUT....

Congrats to my old buddy Mario, his dad (Big Mario) and his mom (Dottie) and especially to Anthony Campi who put on a driving clinic in clean outside passing for the win last night. Great move on Russell on the restart (I never saw his wheels spin, it just looked to me like he was sleepin' a little....but hey, I wasn't sittin' in there next to him, either) and also going around Scofield on the outside like an old pro. Actually a bunch of good clean racing in the front of the field last night. The back was another story but what are ya gonna do. Don't know who was in the 19 car but he needs to figure out where the end of his hood is...he could have been about a second quicker most laps if he hadn't run into the back of...well...just about every car he got behind. Heard some people say the 88 would mess up the initial start and dang if they weren't right. Don't know what he was thinkin' but it wasn't about that green flag.
Jesse Dutilly. This guy is one of the smoothest, cleanest, smartest and UNDER RECOGNIZED drivers out there. Set fast time and the only thing keeping him from a certain top three was a front brake problem. Watch for him this year in this series. You read it here first, race fans.
Saw a bunch of old friends in the pits and even though it was 30 bucks to get in, I had a good time. Left thinking about how much fun it would be to build and race a modified. Seems like almost every track is running them still and it's one class I've never driven in. Wonder what a chassis from Jimmy costs?......

Yah Big Block, it has been two years for us also. We already put together a deal for the 25k race so he needs to get back in a dirt kart every chance he gets. He still runs road coarse karts at PBIR almost every week. He has been at the Florida Winter Tour series at PBIR since Thursday. He left for Tallahassee at 7:00pm and we will meet him at the track on Friday. Maybe we will see you there.
