"FUPS"? Is that the best name they could figure out? If you are stuck with something so unmarketable, why not shorten it to something more awsome like the "F.U. Series"?

I'm actually going to the race tonite....
I'll be there Joe, so I'll get on here later and let ya know who won, who punched who, who protested who, who Big John pissed on or off, but my race reporting skills will never be on a par with our good friend from across the pond, Andy.
I haven't been to any races in a while so I'm jones'n' a little.......
Get it?....jones'n'? ....Osmosis Jones?.....get it?......aww shaddup, Rex.

Anthony Campi wins Icebreaker 100
Anthony Campi got by Tim Russell with around 5 or less to go. Russell was killer on restarts all night but the last one he said he spun the tires and Campi drove him hard to get around. Scofield was in Dick Andersons 92 (the first Icebreaker winner back in 1980) led early finished third. 25 cars started. Steve Dorer had a scary fire in the infield but escaped unharmed. Great crowd good car count all in all a good night at the races.Last edited by Rick Anges; 02-27-2011, 11:11 AM.

It was a pretty good race and I can't remember when I have seen two passes for the lead on the outside there! Tim Russell passed Scofield on the outside early in the race then Anthony Campi passed Scofield on the outside as well. Tim was hooked up all night but did not get a good restart and Campi held his own on the outside and made a good pass to win the race. The Steve Dorer incident was very scary he didn't hit anything he just was pulling down in the infield and all of a sudden the car burst into flames. He was able to get out pretty quickly and was okay thank the dear lord. Not sure what happened to cause it as there was no damage to the car.
The night was pretty good but my one criticism is that when there is a red flag get the lineup set while they are cleaning it up. You can safely do that at the opposite end of the track... Don't wait until they get it cleaned up then run 4 caution laps while trying to set the lineup. I think the races were over around midnight. Way too long...

I would also like to give a shout out to a young man making his first start in a late model, Jake Perkins out of Ocala. He drove his #59 machine from his 19th starting spot all the way to an 8th place finish in a crate car. Not too bad for a 14 year old kid. Special thanks to Jimmy Cope from Jimmy Cope Race Cars and also to Edward Howell for the awesome job on the spotters stand guiding and coaching this young man to a terriffic afternoon.

You know you guys are going to have to put a "P" after that #59. LOL Good to see you at the track lately and over here on karnac.
