What facts do I have wrong? I asked a few questions to polesitter which he can't answer because he don't have the facts. You should ask him to not bring you into this if he has no idea what he is talking about. He brought you in to this not me. I just asked the question. My post should have said. Was Jeremy running "a" progressive. So let me reword it for you.
Was Jeremy running his Heard? Did it have certified engine builder seals in it? Or did it have GM seals in it?
So you are trying to tell me that you pay over 7k for a box stock GM crate that has never been opened. I call that bull shit. Straight up.
We have never out motored your car. We have just had a better set up. Come on. Have you seen our last couple races. There isn't a better handling car on the track but but we can't run with anyone down the straights. You know why? Because our motor has certified seals in it. It's legal. Does yours?
When I called about the rules I was told that by the rules my stuff isn't legal. I would have to spend around 3k to get it back to legal. I sold my old tranny, clutch, shifter, throw out, and drive shaft to buy a legal ASA direct drive tranny but United made them illegal. I can't run now.
To answer you question why we aren't racing much. We are not a big money team like you. We don't own our own business. Stacker rigs. We don't have a bunch of car. I was in construction until we got laid off in Nov. 09. My son has moved to Tallahassee to go to collage and it is all I can do to keep him in school while collecting unemployment. We were lucky enough to secure sponsorship for 5 races last year which we won 2 of them. We had a sponsor deal for United until we found out we weren't legal and that fell through. When we get back on our feet you will have to deal with us at the track.
But I am going to ask you one more time. What "fact" did I state that were wrong. You get THAT straight. I didn't state any facts.

You can't ask his individual questions of people's cars....he is not the tech guy and would not know everything about certian cars, like asking him what motor we have. I did not say "we" paid 7k for a motor....we paid something like 5k and by the time you factor in new rockers, new springs, new balancer and a good carb....your at about 7k. There are ones on racingjunk all day long for well above that....I am saying we are not one of those people to by those! The motor has never been re-built and still has stock seals. Your from Progessive's neck of the woods....who re-built yours?
A "true crate" will never run with anything more than a crate on any straight...doesn't matter what weight you allow. All we have in our car is a falcon transmission, we have spares that we can put in, but it would require us to re-fab our interior, so we will be in the same boat. But maybe, just maybe if you showed up and made an effort to say you were going to race and this is my problem...I'm sure they will make modifications to the rules. That transmission hurts us at most race tracks when you have slow restarts since you can just slow down, so it's really not much of an advantage.
We aren't big money as you think, we have the same issues as everyone else in this lovely economy! He has his own business, but that requires more work that working for people at times. We haven't had sponsors since ASA, so I feel your pain.
The way you worded your response was as if you "knew" about our equipment, which was not true at all. I just ask to be kept out of the conversation....polesitter was stating a fact that we were running well with a crate motor until we were sent to the rear with another car.
I agree their are cars out there that should not be able to hold the label as a "crate" car, but that is not the majority. All I am saying is you should call the tracks and get invloved if you have issues that make it where you can't race. Voice your concerns and see where you get when speaking with them, because most all of them will listen...speaking up on here pointing fingers isn't going to get you anywhere! I myself think they need to p&g crate cars before we even qualify, to make sure they are what they are claiming...as well as make them run a 6600 to 6700 chip...a real one shouldn't be able to turn over that with out blowing up anyways.

I'm guessing that you aren't really understanding what you read. I never said I knew anything about your stuff. Polesitter did. So I asked a few questions. You got all defensive. And if you did understand what you read you could see that I already made calls. The deal is done. Why would I load my car up and drive 4 hrs so that maybe just maybe they will let me run? They can KMA. I don't know who you are or who polesitter is. But who are you to tell me who I can ask what? He came on here saying he had personal info on these motors. You acted guilty. I'm still wondering about that. And the way polesitter wrote his post it sounds like you ran in that race last week. And if you did run with your falcon than you were running illegal. Not really sure. May I please ask the question my lord.
I asked polesitter several questions and did not a single answer. I asked you one question twice and did not get an answer either. But I answered every one of yours. What's up with that. What fact did I get wrong? None. That's what I thought.
Just to let you know. Asking a question is not stating a fact. You need to get you shit straight before you start accusing people. You sound guilty.

I have no personal knowledge of any of their motors, other than what they tell me. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see who has a bone stock crate and who doesn't. And you must not have talked to the right person about the transmission, we have allowed them for over 2 years. If you have tech questions, you need to call Travis Nichols at 352-585-3560.

Was post 37 a lie when you said "I know" or is post 51 a lie when you said "I have no personal knowledge". What ever one it is you need to get your shit straight before you come on here listing peoples names. You are running under the United rules. They haven't been around for two years so how can you say that they have allowed them. Many people have come on here trying to find out who is in charge of this series. No one will answer so I made some call from the phone numbers from the site the rules were posted. They gave me a number to call about tech items. Again I was told to read the rules. The rules say it is not legal. So I am supposed to believe you? I don't thing so. Your telling me to call a Travis. Who the he'll is Travis. They didn't tell me to call Travis two months ago when I was working a sponsorship for that series. Will he be doing tech at every race? Who is I charge of the series? If the transmission is legal why does the rules say it it not? Are you guys running one of those kind of series where the rules mean nothing? Good luck with that. Who would want to run a series that can't even say who is in charge, who is the race director, who is the tech director, and who is responsible for the pay out and just because it is written in the rules we still allow it. You stole the series anyway from a hard working group of racers. I am just saying what hundreds of people want to say. I am just the only with ball enough to say it. Now again, just like my other post, I asked a ton of questions. Do you think I will get them answered. If you don't have the truth don't bother.

It's clear that you would rather engage in a war of words then try to solve the problem so please continue. If I had a question about wether or not my car was legal at any particular track, I would call the tech man at that track. I have provided you a phone number to the tech man for Citrus, you should have called him with your questions if you wanted to run the last race. As to your questions about the UPS series, I can't aswer those real well. Last I was told a gentleman named Rusy Crews was going to be the traveling race director.
And as far the "lies", I guess you can interpret the info how you want, if you see them as lies the so be it. I was trying to prove to your that crates can be competitive in may forms at Inverness. Wether is a 14,000 dollar crate or a $5000 crate, it can be done.
I'm done trying to reason with you, it was a lost cause from the begining obviously.

Look. I haven't even started complaining yet. But I'm sure I will if a track has a set of rules in place and they don't stick to them there will be plenty of complaining. That is the worst thing a track owner can do. Remember I was a track owner. In post #1 it stated what rules they are running. Why have rules than. When it says 2 barrel do you call to see if you can run your 4 barrel. When it says gas do you call and ask if you can run alcohol? When it says 10 inch tires do you call to see if you can run 12 inch tires? And when it says you "must" run a conventional bolted to the crank? Do you call to see if you can run a direct drive? No you don't. And I don't. And I don't either. Where does it stop. I don't even own a trans with a conventional clutch any more and the rules say you "must" run a conventional. So why would I call. All's I have done is ask the question. Two months ago when I called they said read the rules. At your next race wouldn't it be nice to know that everybody was using the same rule book. Or would you rather go home after being spanked no really knowing if all of the cars were running the same rules as you? If a track or series changing rules for certain people I'm not sure if I want to run there.
I have only run my crate late model at citrus twice. I have a 3rd and a win. I know what can be done their. But I won't go run any where illegal.

See your point but I would still have call and see since this was not a series race but everyone different. I for one have called a track to see if I could run even know my car might not fit the rules and I might have added weight or something to beable to run but once again everyone different.

Mr South 59, I guess you can't read either since the rules on the Citrus website says that you can have a Rankin or direct drive but you get a 50lb penalty. That doesn't mean you can't race. You should just stay home with your negative attitude and no one will miss you, I promise. If you say you won once and got third the other time...than you would have probably had the same result this past race, but now you'll never know.
Hope you stop worrying about the rules if you don't plan on running anyways!

70 you don't know when to stop do you? That isn't the rules they were running under for that race. That is Citrus rules not the united rules. Like I said you need to get your shit straight or shut it up. You proibily didn't add the weight to you car anyway. Do you. I already know you didn't. I just try to run by the rules. Why don't you. I never saw so much shit over a guy making sure their car is legal. And like I said. I called who I was told to call. There is nothing more I could do. I was done a long time ago when I got point a crossed but if you want to keep it up. Come on.

Sure did add the weight....because I already told you the car weight too much anyways! Your right I don't know when to stop! Maybe when you get a sponsor or another job and can afford to come out and see if your legal, until them don't worry about anyone else.
Taken directly from the Auburndale website for the United Rules Link:
L. Transmission, Driveshaft, Rear End
1. Full standard type transmission only will be permitted.
2. Rankin direct drive, Rankin type direct drive, direct drive, cluster disconnect add 50 lbs to base weight
3. NO quick change or automatic transmissions
4. A minimum of one reverse and two forward gears will be required.
5. Multi-disc clutches will be permitted. Conventional clutch mounted to fly wheel only will be permitted.
Soooooo, please tell me where I am confussed about where you are not legal still? You have no one to blame but yourself for not getting your sponsorship and not racing, because you were legal except maybe adding some lead (black and white).
IM OFFICALLY DONE NOW!
