And there you have it, first track to not allow multiple brands of racing tires, stay tuned, more tracks to follow their lead.

      I told you so !

I can say that we don't allow other brands at PGS. We want all the cars we can get, but we are a Goodyear track and it's important that there is a level playing field and everyone is on the same tire. Too many shenanigans go on when you allow any tire, even if it is used. Guys will go buy a set of Hoosiers, run them up and down the road to scuff them up, and then show up with "used" Hoosiers that are softer and have an unfair advantage. This keeps everything fair.
Everyone knows goodyears are easier to soak. The stink hides the stink, in more ways then one.

yes and you can put five good years at a time

in the rotissirie and put right stuff in vat turn it on let it spin and make them duro any way you want them --- and they even got stuff you can't sniff

so that blows tire therie they don't last too long when you get them down to 35-38 sure work good when they punch 40 thou

the tire deal is a money thing me i think if they let you run any tire like in old days then there would be three tire companys making tires that worked better and lasted longer and we would not have to waste money buying $hitto make the tires work --- remember when you could use goodyear- hoosier- mcreary kept tire people putting out a good tire

Sorry Carol what you gave out wasn't a press release. A press release gives out lots of info. in it. All you said was some people had a meeting and have to work out the details. Anyone of us could ave said that's what would happen if and when you get the track owners together even before the meeting. Having said that. Let me say they have never been able to "work out " the details in the past. And most of us look for nothing different this time.
