Somewhere on here are some pics that I posted when they first removed the grandstands. That really hit hard the first time I saw it in that condition.

Never understud why there had always seem to be BS going on between the dragstrip and the O track? And parking was a mess too,is the land devided up werid or something to add to the mess now?
I actuly like the old way it was before the newer track was built,but i always liked small odd tracks.

I have the flag stand. Bid on it at the auction.I had the one from Hileah speedway but eft it at lakecity track in the infield. ma be they didnt scrap it.

If you want i can send you an email with the info the guy just sent me. They are going to try to make it Rockefeller Group Park of Commerce. I got the info from thr realator guy. The way it looks is there is going to be 3 different building is that area. What I do not get is that there is thousands of bizness parks in florida, hundreds that are not used but there is only like 10 tracks in florida (asphalt circle tracks) with two of them not in use (bronson and Lakeland) and they are going to take them. I am sorry if I afend someone here but what I think all of yall need to do is LEAVE ARE DAMN RACE TRACKS ALONE AND GO BUILD YOUR F'ING BIZNESS PARKS SOME WERE ELSE!!!!!!

If I recall correctly, one of the reasons that deal went down in the first place is because the original developer thought he had a deal with someone that involved mass distribution (trucking) and the land was ideal due to the access to the Interstate. Obviously that all fell apart when the economy went south.

Never cared for the Hooters Cup races, but I did enjoy the Triple Crown races, the ARCA race and the Big Car (Silver Crown) race.

Something I just remembered is that he could not build there because of all of the oil and gas on the property because of the track and that is why it never happened in the first place.
