This doesn't have anything to do with pampering racers, please don't twist this. These are direct and fair questions that may or may not help a track that other racers and RACE FANS would like to know.

        1. Alternate the classes at the OSW and NSS tracks and combine points?
        2. Race in the winter at OSW and take the summer off?
        3. Put a team of racers and volunteers together to create a welcome wagon to help get new race teams to the tracks? Getting started was harder then anything if you didn't know anyone.
        4. Give strictly stock (drivers ONLY) free admission?
        5. Promote race car sponsors better?
        6. Maybe combine classes for better racing?
        7. Do something to make it more of a festival type atmosphere for the fans? There are still tracks around that I can feel the energy upon arrival. Not OSW.
        8. Promote your special races for the lower classes? Being that MOST racers cannot afford anything above a sportsman or mini stock I think that I would try to cater to those kind of people a little more.
        9. Increase or decrease the purse depending on the car count for that class?

Once again, I am not bashing or pointing fingers but I believe these are all fair questions directed at FASCAR.
I think all of these are good ideas. I have said for yrs its too HOT, WET, and way too few people here in the summer. How many times has Orlando been rained out this summer?? I know we have holidays etc in the winter, 2 or 3 but its a lot better time for racing in Florida. Just the population, what is it 1/2, 2/3 in the summer as compared to the winter? Also, and this will be a shocker to Boney, but as much as I hate to admit it, but I agree with him. Drivers need to do more? Yes! If I was a driver and had a sponser I would be a pain in Marks butt, even more than I am now to get my sponsors name mentioned. And one last thing drivers, without you there is no show, but to many of you without a sponsor or two you wouldn't be there. I know most of you don't believe it, I don't care but I've helped 45 car owners, a lot over the last 5 yrs. When the $ temporalily dry up, and they can't see a $100 bill hanging out of the sponsors pocket, all but 2 flat out turned their back on me. Maybe not intentional, but none the less thats the way it is. So for now i don't help anyone, and I get more fun laughing at one of them crashing and finishing last every week, and the good part? Doesn't cost me a cent. Drivers, support your sponsors!!!

All great ideas but there is one problem. I'm not sure crasscar will not be listening. Dictatorship 101 says," do not hear the people and don't pretend to listen."

I actually sent an email to Joe Lewandoski over a week ago offering to be a $100.00 purse sponsor for the 100 lapper tonite, and never heard anything from him. It does make one wonder how well things are being managed.

Ah-ha! I guess that explains that. They should update their website to reflect that.

                        Promotions...

It's not just FASCAR, it's the tracks themselves that need to stay up to date on *what* and where they're "promoting".

A few months ago, I went to a few Kangaroo gas stations asking about the 2-for-1 coupons or whatever it was they were giving out. The first one I went to, the guy behind the counter didn't know what I was talking about. I said, "That poster that's in your front window for passes for Orlando SpeedWorld?" He said he had no idea anyone even put anything up in the window. Dunno if the guy was brand-new, or what, but he had no clue what I was asking for. Stopped at another one closer to the track, poster was right next to the register, and the girl said they HAD had some when they first passed them out, but "no one had been by the store with more for like three weeks". So I called up another store, and the guy didn't speak English....so I gave up...

So, about two weeks ago, I was in the Florida Mall in the food court, and at the Subway Sandwich place there, *they* had a poster for 2-for-1 for SpeedWorld. I asked the girl behind the counter, and she said she didn't know what I was asking for, so she got the store manager. The manager said that they had run out of passes "two weeks ago and no one's brought any more by the store".

So, I'm not sure how many of these passes are/were out there, but *someone's* getting them. But the track, I think, also needs to stay on top of things and check at these places after about a few days, a week at the most; if they're out of the passes, take some more out there!

                              Technically yes

But not if you refuse to produce a birth certificate.
