The reason I said," I heard" was that NSS web site seems to be wrong.

oh, i don't take the web site results as gospel.

i'm shown as winning a race at OSW a couple of weeks ago but actually i got DQ'd myself.

i was just pointing out the "official" results.

A cam doctor tech tool, was used and the top three had big cams.

i would say that Rick Bristol verifying the top 3 being DQ'd is pretty "official" though.

now we just need somebody to say who all of them actually were.

Big Cams found with a $2500 computer program !

so these cams weren't simply too much lift? you're teching duration and LSA now?

the top three put in illegal cams because Ricky was teching and to one up everyone Kennedy scheduled appendicitis. How do we fix this tiresmok.....You got all the manswers. Oh yeah.....disqualify them all for the season because........I don't know, you had to have a plan to make this threads opening statement of taking away all their wins.

i don't agree with stripping all of the previous finishes but you admit for all to see that catching them at this late date taints everything else they've done for the year.

how many started cheating partway through the year simply because it was the only way they could keep up with the fast trucks?

this is the problem with lax tech. if you let it go, everybody with money will wind up doing it and everybody without money will quit.

Are you saying the top three cheated only for this race. Be real. No I don't have proof they cheated all year. NSS has not tech motors all year. Maybe compreesion/vac thats it. I did not mention the 96 truck although I was thinking the same thing.Thats cleared up. Hope he gets well soon. This is good point....

I would still take away wins, thats just me. They are proven cheats and should be treated as such. With 3 or 4 wins this year why would you put a cheater cam in for a race that going to have a tough tech man. Because they did not know about the cam doctor tech tool .That same team change shocks just before a race (3 races ago ). Quess what happen. They teched shocks that night. The shock swap was seen by more then one person!! So don't tell me it did not happen. Thanks for the tip, tech man. Funny thing, they did not need those $1000 shocks they still won. Now we know why. To bad they didn't check the heads and crank. Want to bet they were legal? NSS needs to tech motors, seriously, every race. DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT

          dude, i'm agreeing with you.

but you can't just retroactively go back and arbitrarily throw out everybody that annoys you. cheating in prior races is not "proven", only implied. your issue is with tech ( or lack thereof ), not the race teams.

And everybody with money will run out then quit.

I don't agree with stripping all of their wins but it certainly puts a big question mark on them.

Anybody notice that the main sponsor of the race was Dq'd? Way to go Ricky, completely un-bias.

I know you were agreeing with me, That last post was to Tim. You are right can't just retroactively go back and arbitrarily take wins away. So I take that back. Now what about those who started cheating partway through the year simply because it was the only way they could keep up with the fast trucks or like me ,thinking of going to the darkside over the winter so I could keep up. I can't justify $500-$600 a race and not have a chance. It kills me to think I have to spend $3000- $5000 and become a cheat, just to keep up. If I go to the darkside and cheat up the motor this is how it going to go down.

1 I come out next year full second faster and can keep up
2 everybody thinks I have a cheater motor (they are right)
              3 Rich kids/teams move on
4 win races but now they are teching because rich folks are gone
5 get dq'ed and branded as a cheat for ever.

What do I do then? Maybe I post that I was just trying to keep up ,that would be true. Or do I admit that I became part of the problem and don't give a rats a***.

Tiresmok you are asking the oldest question in racing. Do I have to cheat to win. The answer to that lies in you. What are you willing to do to win? For most winners in racing the answer is.....whatever it takes. Your problem is that you couldn't stand getting caught while others can't stand to lose. I am not trying to justify what anyone does, but that is the facts of life between winners and losers. I am not saying that everyone who wins is a cheater, every situation is different but you are right in that tech plays the main role in each situation.

ah. it would help if you would break up your post and address the relevant point to each thread participant then. cuts down on the cross talk.

                  What do I do then?

a - avoid series or classes which attract these clowns
b - avoid tracks and sanctioning bodies which let them get away with it ( if possible, can be quite difficult, i know )
c - race in a low enough class that it's pretty much impossible for them to outspend you

far more of the "race" in circle track racing is dealing with the traffic around you than it is with absolute speed anyways. if you're racing for "fun", you can get plenty of that in a bomber or mini-stock class. if you don't think it's challenging enough, voluntarily start from the back every week.

most of what goes on in these higher classes down here is either dick / money measuring contests or racing parents who are angling to get their kids a pro ride. and neither one of those things has much to do with local racing at all.

To bad those are the choices, pro trucks are the best fit for us( have one already), only if they follow the rules $4000 crate and $200 shocks .

You can protest for $1000 they pull the motor give it to a engine builder. If they can give away $10,000 to sponsor a race, I'am sure they will pay that builder and i am out grand

There ARE still lots of people that like racing but are sick and tired of the bull s--- favoritism. You watch a super stock race leader run 0ver 15 laps with oil smoke blowing all over the place and never blacked flagged, and won.
What favoritism? Which Super stock was it? Thats hard to believe that the track would over look that?

Who is paying the track off?

NSS has changed(in my opinion) too much in the last two years. But they are making it work. Just ask who?.....Who did YOU talk to that said a deep pocket beats a 20 car field any night? What promoter that is there told you that obsurd statement about purses and renegades in the pits? (Moderated) Please do tell.

Tiresmok, of course your done with this thread....you lost. I hope you figure out how to win. Crying on this board isn't going to win you races. I think you have figured that out.
