You have to blame the adults that allowed an 8 year old to shoot it.

yep, i agree wholeheartedly. evidently this was the kid's first shot of the day, first shot with this gun and first time shooting a full auto. so they give him a full mag, have him stand up unbraced and turn him loose. brilliant!

i shot a Thompson .45 ACP one time with a 20 rnd stick mag and had shouldered it. damn thing picked my lead foot up off the ground before the stick ran out and i weigh 200lbs. i didn't stitch the roof of the firing range but i had just decided that i was going to have to let go of the trigger or the gun was going to get away from me when the last round went down range. there's a reason why in all those old gangster movies they show the henchmen holding the Thompson at waist level.

a 9MM round isn't going to generate as much recoil as a .45 but the Uzi is a smaller and lighter gun. much harder to control than a Thompson.

I read about this a few days ago. I am amazed that someone would allow an 8 year old kid to shoot a fully automatic gun in the first place. Idiots like this ruin it for everyone else.

Well that explains why they use bombs instead.
