Over the next few weeks the straight line motorsport of Drag Racing will get plenty of airtime on Tuesday nights. What is like to go down the straight away from a standing start at 300 mph?

We’ll find out from the racers who experience it.

A recent trip to Rockingham, NC for the IHRA Spring Nationals, which turned out to be the largest event in the history “The Rock”, has opened the door to a whole new class of race car drivers and competition for Real Racin’ USA.

This week Craig Clarke, owner of Track Rescue, which oversees the safety fire and rescue operations for the IHRA (International Hot Rod Association) will co-host this weeks Real Racin’ USA show live from the Snook River Grill.

Craig Clarke co-hosted the original Real Racin’ Talk Radio show with Rick Anges and Jack Smith in 2000-2001, and is excited about getting back behind the microphone. Craig’s Track Rescue teams visit the entire IHRA major race schedule, including stops in
Edmonton, Alberta Canada and Toronto Motorsports Park.

Craig with his tight knit crew of motorsports safety professionals is celebrating 25 years of service to the industry. More information about Track Rescue can be found at www.trackrescue.com.

Craig Clarke is considered one the nation’s foremost experts on motorsports and speedway safety issues, and has been involved in several high profile court cases and is frequently sought out by legal experts for his opinions.

Several drag racing personalities are expected to be on the air with Craig, Jack and Rick Tuesday night. A photo gallery from Rockingham is here. The Track Rescue web site has a ton of Drag Racing photos, and of course the IHRA web site is awesome.

The ASA Late Model Series will showcase it’s hotbed of stock car racing talent at Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, Ga. Short Track America will be there to get the story as it unfolds. Twenty-four year old Billy Goodman, who grew up dreaming of being a part of the race track, is now the announcer at the track. Billy will join us to talk up the facility and preview what fans can expect with the high-powered ASA talent on the 4/10’s mile oval.

Several ASA drivers as well as some surprise guests will appear on Tuesday nights show.

The Snook River Grill is located at 2505 Manatee Avenue East in Bradenton Florida, three miles west of I-75 exit 221. The Real Racin’ USA show airs between 7-9 PM and Short Track America now streams racing news and entertainment 24 hours a day.

Call in line at the “Grill” is 941-748-3490. Business line for Short Track America is 941-228-8359, 941-920-3370 or 941-517-2234.
