Our first Real Racin’ USA broadcast live from the Snook River Grill was, from our point of view, a highly successful outing. We had over 20 guests in the audience, mostly race fans from the local area who had been heard we were doing the show, as this was after all only an “undressed rehersal”.
Charlotte County Speedway photographer “Demo” Don Landers, one high octaned race photographers detailed his never ending quest for the perfect racing photo and the dangers he puts himself in to capture that for you the race fan. Don will be a frequent guest and occassional co-host on Real Racin’ USA. Steve Brigham visited with us for a few minutes to update us on his awesome Outlaw Modified Series. Steve was kind enough to take a minute to applaud the work of Don Landers.TQ Midget racer Greg Dennis talked about his racing adventure, Bill Colbert Jr. and Scott Dawley (Mini Stocks & Sportsman) were guests in the audience who got the chance to talk about the fun they have racing and give some plugs for their new sponsorsA little off the racing track but a preview of an upcoming show from Walt Jenkins, an award winning movie producer started the show off. Walt is working on a new feature film, Vampire Biker Babes. No it is not a porn movie, but it is a real deal vampire movie but wih the twist of hot motorcycles, fast cars and leather clad lovlies. In the very near future expect a return for Walt and this time it will be a very lively event, we promise. One unplanned twist early in the show caught many listeners by surprise when DeSoto Super Speedway owner John Sarppricone was being interviewed live in the Short Track America room. Fastruck Series promoter Bobby Diehl called in during the interview. That’s when the sparks flew, as the two exchanged heated remarks for about 10 minutes. The two promoters have been at odds regarding truck racing in Florida for several years now.The Short Track America Network presents the Real Racin’ USA show each Tuesday evening live from the Snook River Grill 7-9 PM. The public is invited, the menu is great and drivers or others involved in motorsports are always welcome as guests on the show, or to just hang out and meet other racers in a relaxed laid back social setting. Real Racin’ USA is not a starchy, uptight politically correct motorsports show, we are about having fun, which after all is what sports is supposed to be, fun.
