17-year-old John Wes Townley took the lead from 19-year-old Travis Cope on Lap 85 and then had to fight off several challenges from his own teammate at Brothers Racing Team, Beau Slocumb to go on and win his first career ASALMS Feature in his Zaxby’s Real Chicken/Coca-Cola Bottling Company/BB&T On-Line Banking/Ford Fusion.

For Townley, part of the Driver Development Program for Wood Brothers JTG Racing and his Car Owner and Father, Tony Townley, it was a 1-2 finish for his drivers highlighted by his sons’ first ever Feature Win!

Slocumb came home in second to move into second place in the ASALMS Southern Division Point Standings heading into the next race; The North VS South Shootout/World Cup 200 at the i-70 (Mo) Speedway, located East of Kansas City in Odessa, Missouri on Saturday and Sunday September 22-23, 2007.

ARP Bodies/Aluminum Racing Products Fast Qualifier, Chris Fontaine came home a career high third over 19-year-old Travis Cope who finished fourth. 18-year-old Cody Smith, running for 5K Motorsports over the Georgia Doubleheader Weekend, rounded out the Top Five with a career high Fifth.

ASALMS Southern Division Overall and Rookie of the Year Points Leader, Jeff Choquette, hot off his first career ASALMS Feature Win the night before the South Georgia (GA) Motorsports Park, led the first lap of the Senoia 125 Presented by FLF Racecars before finishing Sixth.

17-year-old Dillon Oliver finished seventh while Bobby East, who practically destroyed his car the night before in Cecil, Georgia and didn’t even make it to Senoia, Georgia until almost two hours after Qualifying was completed, started shotgun on the field in 24th and worked his way through the pack to finish eighth over Brandon Johnson and Alison Quick, who completed the Top 10.

Earlier in the afternoon in ARP Bodies/Aluminum Racing Products Qualifying, Chris Fontaine picked up his second ARP Bodies Fast Qualifier Award of the season as the Lakeland, Florida freshman in the presenting sponsors’ own FLF Racecars House Car, established the ASALMS Southern Division track record on the 0.375 Mile Semi-Banked Paved Oval with a 14.205 which measures out to 95.037 MPH.
