Need a rear end for a strictly stock.

Hi, I just put my 73 Monte on the track at NSS. I plan on running at OSW primarily. My car has a 273 right now. That is not going to work.

I need to find someone who knows what the are doing to put in a new gear. I have had a 3.90 suggested.

Any ideas would really help.

3.42 would would fine for orlando for a strickly stock and 3.23 for nss

For speedworld the desired ratio is run a 2:56 in first or 3:73 in 2nd. But then you also have tire sizes to think about.

But I have used 273 at osw before. Hard on the motor but a missle out of the turns. 273 works great for citrus and auburndale
