I have a brand new 1pc rear engine has gm 5140 steel crank 48#. has probe coated pistons with wheeler Ibeam rods and arp bolts.clevite .001under bearings on rods and mains. has 17# howards .390/.410 camshaft with 4* adv ground in. manley true roller double chain with torrington bearing and cam lock and button. has melling h.v. pump with hardened oil pump rod and lightweight fuelpump rod. has corvette pan with windage tray.has clevite cam bearings. has all felpro race gaskets and .041 head gaskets.Heads are centerbolt swirlport that are totally redone with decking of.012 pins have been installed to rocker stud has the best money can buy polished valve springs with chromoly retainers and locks1.250 diameter with harmonic inserts. valves are brand new ppm 1.94/1.5 valves.retainer to oil seal clearance is .600 installed ht is 1.770closed will except up to .550 lift cam so should last at least two seasons on springs. no intake have 1.5 longslot rockers. will take $2050 and a core charge of $300 if no core. the oil returns have been recalibrated to accomodate the 5 qt pan so there is no starvation of oil at higher rpms like most guys build cause they don't know.Many tricks in our engines as to the doityourselvers have to learn and many can't diagnose what they have done wrong to try to save a buck.
