What gear is needed to run at Ocala for thunder stock with gm rear end and a 350 tranny???? to be competative not to ride around back

Wayne I bought a car from down there it ran the thunderstock class with a 350 motor and 350 trans and it has a 3.73 gear the guy said they got a couple feature wins also so try a 3.73 if you haven't already

2 nd gear in the turbo 350 is 1.52 x that by the rear gear for final gear ratio

We always ran a 2.56 with a th 350 came to a 6.46 final. won plenty of races with that combo. that is in first gear. if you are conserned with turning your motor too much you can try a 2.41 that's a 6.07 final. anywhere between the 2 gears with an automatic. otherwise pick a manual tranny and do the math ie. 4.11 rear X 1.5 tranny is 6.16 final.
