We are pleased to announce that the STARS Young Gun Program for drivers ages 12-14 will be allowed to participate in the 2008 Season. Unfortunately, due to changes by the insurance companies the Young Guns will race at Auburndale Speedway only.
In order to race, any driver under the age of 18 must purchase an additional insurance policy from Rand, prior to they first race in 2008, this includes drivers in the Pro Division as well. The insurance information & forms will be posted on the STARS website within the week, www.starsracingsries.net
We will be changing the Young Gun schedule to 18 points races and the format will be 8 lap heat race followed by a 25 lap feature. All other rules for the Young Guns will remain the same.
The Stars website has not been updated with the new Young Gun schedule but it is posted on the Auburndale website, www.newauburndalespeedway.com
